Location Chalet et Appartement du Flocons de SEL - Emmanuel Renaut

Firstly, thank you to Kristine, Emmanuel and Gwen for making our 6 days at Flocon beyond compare. If you are looking for amazing hospitality without the pretense, there's probably no better place than Flocons. It's small and private but the Spa, service excellence and epicurean kitchen mean you never feel like there's a lack of amenities. It's location is a mile or two out of Megeve, but the Range Rover courtesy car is always available to take you in or out of town. We stayed in the Mazots which felt like living in your own private Alpine chalet with spectacular views down to Megeve. Everything is designed to blend into the environment. Many special moments, for example we bumped into Emmanuel one day who suggested he 'cooks something for us in the kitchen...nothing special' We ended up at the Chef's Table in his Michelin 3 star restaurant with him serving us a range of dishes including the best souffle we've ever tasted!

My mother and I had two dinners and spent one night at Flocons de Sel during our trip to Megeve. The hotel was very cozy and intimate and the chef and hostess Renaut were very hospitable and attentive. The three hour meals at the gastronomic restaurant were wonderful, with the lamb, arctic charr, and soufflé dishes among the most memorable, and when coupled with generous wine pairing and hospitable and attentive services, as well as the great view out to the snowing Rhone Alpes was simply too beautiful, and hard to beat. As for the hotel, it is a modern chalet that offers a great view out from the terrace, and had a wood-burning fireplace in the room. The hotel also had a heated floor, which was a first in Europe for me. The jacuzzi and swimming pool were also well situated in a picturesque setting. and might I add I had one of the most beautifully cooked omelette I had in years during a simple but very delicious breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and looking forward to another opportunity to come back. thank you.

We had a fantastic stay at Flocons de Sel. We have nothing but great reviews. The Superior room is spacious and has a beautiful chalet-like design. The bed is comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was strong (not always available even at 5-star hotels). The fireplace is a great add to the room and wood was always refilled when the room was cleaned. The lobby area, which was just outside our room, is spacious, beautifully decorated. and a great place to have pre- and post-dinner drinks next to a big fireplace. The lobby area felt like a living room extension to our room. Quality of the food and the service at the restaurant is also great. We were even able to get room service one night and eat it in the lobby area which also has tables. It felt like a private a dinner experience. The indoor pool is a great place to relax after a day of skiing. The pool has a comfortable water temperature and convenient underground access from the main hotel lobby. You don’t have to step outside in the cold to get to the pool from your room. While the hotel is located outside of Megeve village (5-10min drive), it made our stay feel more like an alpine and relaxing experience. The hotel also offers shuttle to/from Megeve downtown (in a nice Audi Quattro e-tron) which is a very convenient service for going to dinner in town. Finally, the hotel staff was professional, very friendly and helpful. We had everything taken care of (ski passes, ski rentals, dinner reservations in town, etc.). With only 6 rooms in the hotel, there are more staff than guests in the hotel. It truly felt like we were special guests. Overall, the quality of our stay was excellent. We would definitely come back!
