Such a superb service. What a week. Enjoyed every single bit of our stay. The rooms are clean, comfy and relaxing. The staff are always smiling with passion to help. Ohhh and the breakfast is absolutely fab. Thanks so much for making the week worthwhile

The accommodation food and staff were wonderful and the grounds are beautiful but I’m moderately disabled and the place is an absolute nightmare for moving around independently .If you were in a wheelchair it would be impossible to navigate .Each different part of the building has stairs everywhere and no ramps to negotiate independently

Tomasina was amazing. Our daughter was feeling unwell at a wedding reception. She noticed and suggested taking her some where quite until she felt better. A wonderful person and a credit to the hotel. The food was awesome and the service excellent.

We had the most wonderful stay in Tankardstown House. I think the best staff I have ever encountered in the hospitality business. So friendly, kind and professional. Tadgh was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond at every step. A beautiful place and perfect for a relaxing break with delicious food.

We were at a wedding in Tankardstown house recently. It was a five star experience from start to finish. The setting, the accommodation, and the food were excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly. The breakfast was superb - everything made to order. The brown bread and home made jams and marmalade made by Breda were the highlight!.

Classy location, beautiful gardens, nice, spacious rooms, decent breakfast (though no buffet). Our room had an espresso machine, an ironing board, a desk, a nice armoire, balcony, and a large easy chair. In general, this hotel has all you would expect from a classy wedding venue. A few details spoil the experience, such as: 1) Our room had no luggage rack - our luggage ended up on the floor 2) A total of just two coat hangers 3) No hook or anything to hand a heavy jacket (it gets cold here in October) 4) Not even a toilet brush 5) The shower is equipped with a modern mixing faucet, but throughout the buildings, old fashioned, wasteful, English faucets separated into hot and cold are used (burn your hands, or freeze them) 6) Our room phone did not seem to work properly. To reach the reception at night to inquire about non functioning heating, I had to dial in from the outside.

Excellent, interesting food on the tasting menu for lunch. Hospitality style was a really good combination of knowledge of the menu and an engaging style. I’d strongly recommend this place for a special occasion and the lunch tariff was reasonable for the times we live in.

We attended a wonderful Wedding on the 16th & 17th of September ! Fabulous hospitality, food was excellent. It’s a stunning Wedding Venue. The rooms were immaculately clean, well decorated the bed & pillows were possibly the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. Special mention has to go to Sinead at breakfast ‘ highly recommended the full Irish ‘ with Breda the chefs homemade soda bread & marmalade ! You’ll definitely get the warmest Irish welcome at Tankardstown House

The hotel is of the highest standard. I was there for a family wedding. The house and gardens beautiful and it seemed more like a private ‘ House Party.’ The staff, especially Roisin when I had a query were on hand to assist, but unobtrusive too. The rooms were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows the best to lay your head on and sleep comes easily. A special mention for the breakfasts. The, breakfasts were amazing, the Irish breakfast was outstanding in taste and quality of produce. Thank you chef and his team. The staff at front of house in the breakfast room were efficient, friendly and polite, thank you to Sinead and the rest of her team. Excellent service. A wonderful hotel, a beautiful wedding celebration, thank you Tankardstown House for enhancing the whole experience.
