Excellent hosts, lovely to chat too and provided all that was needed. The room was so homely, clean and refreshed while out. Breakfast was beautiful! Was able to pick what we wanted the night before, also excellent choice of cereals and juices. Lovely breakfast room. And very comfy bed! From Sonny & Jasmine :)

There are times when it's better to stay in a good Guest House than a good hotel and that's when you can stay at Ashdale which is better than good. It may not be swish and modern but you are treated as a valuable guest in someone's home. As a base for exploring the Peak District, perfect. For a breakfast to set you up for the day, excellent. For a good night's sleep? Forget the Premier Inn, Ashdale is the place.

This place Is fabulous. We had a room on the ground floor which was absolutely lovely, the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. The bathroom was great with just a shower which met my needs as I can't get in a bath. It's spotlessly clean. The breakfast was beautiful. Paula and shaun are lovely, made us feel extremely welcome and nothing is to much trouble. We can not wait to book again. See you soon. Mick and liz x

What a gem we found. Right in the heart of Matlock Bath, the location was perfect, nothing was too far. Paula and Shaun (and Ralph and Ernie!) we’re the perfect hosts, so warm and welcoming. The room was beautiful, with the most comfy bed, I didn’t want to get up in the morning. Lovely modern bathroom. The place was spotless throughout. Home cooked breakfast was also top notch. We’ve visited Matlock bath many times but never stayed over, I’m so glad we found this place, I would definitely return and 100% recommend this place. Cara & Glynn.

Lovely guesthouse in the middle of the parade. Shaun and Paula are great hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Our room (Castleton) was excellent, lovely bathroom and a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, served in a lovely relaxed atmosphere with plenty of choice, both hot and cold and cooked to perfection. Thankou. Steve and Michelle.

Ashdale Guest House is a superb place to stay in the heart of Matlock Bath. The hosts were very welcoming and shared valuable information about tourist information. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Lovely spacious room, fantastic hosts, delicious breakfast and brilliant location. All communal areas and bedroom were very clean. Located right on the high street, easily accessible to shops, restaurants and bus stops. Would love to stay again.

A gem of a find. Met by Paula and Sean who were very welcoming and helpful with local places of interest. Lovely room, with river views, coffee and lovely biscuits provided. Very clean and stylish. Cooked breakfast was excellent quality and really set us up for the day. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.
