The villa-style hotel is located on the mountain. The room has its own swimming pool. The overall environment of the hotel is great! Especially the dinner in the restaurant is highly recommended, with 9 local Sri Lankan food, equipped with a dedicated chef and music performance, and the price is a little expensive.

Sometimes you really shouldn’t book a hotel that doesn’t have much information. Don’t think you’ve found a treasure hotel... This country is really tolerant, but... the actual check-in and The room types I booked were all different (I booked a more expensive room type, but ended up getting a basic room). What's disappointing is the hotel's service attitude... First they admitted that I had booked another room type, and then they said that this was the only one left. When I insisted on getting the room type that I booked, otherwise they negotiated with the agent and refunded me the price difference. He immediately said that this is the room I booked...this is the only room left. If you like it or not, they won't refund the price difference. In the end, after learning the truth from Ctrip customer service, we settled on the price difference, and the result was not bad.
It’s a bit long-winded to avoid lightning for everyone. One more thing: the breakfast and dinner were extremely unpalatable. If I hadn’t gone to the tea house and Yala later, I would have thought that Sri Lanka was at this level.

Aarunya felt like home away from home and better. Living in the midst of nature with uttermost comfort and modern amenities refreshed our minds and left us with relaxed souls. The staff and management is very helpful and supportive. Front desk manager Mr. Dulan made it sure that we were comfortable in every way possible. The chef, Mr.Vicky and butler Mr.Nilante provided us with exactly what we asked for in our customised food choices. Special thanks to the entire staff and team of Aarunya. Hoping to visit again.

Localisation parfaite au dessus de Kandy pour cet hôtel avec une vue splendide sur les montagnes environnantes. Les chambres/villas sont très spacieuses et bien équipées avec une salle de bains semi extérieure. Ambiance totalement relaxante et nous avions la chance d’avoir une piscine privée dans notre villa, superbe et très agréable. Belle piscine principale également avec vue sur les montagnes. Le service est très bon, cependant notez que tous les services en extra ainsi que les repas sont à des prix assez élevés pour la région, mais pour un hôtel de ce niveau. On sent clairement ici un esprit d’exclusivité.

We stayed for two nights and didn’t want to leave. Even better than the pictures look. The most stunning “pinch yourself” location and views we have stayed in, beautiful Villa room with private pool, amazing staff with fantastic butler called Rowan. Food was delicious. The GM Mr Haleem has created something very special, was ever present and incredibly welcoming. It’s a must do in Sri Lanka. We will be back!! Edward

We spent 3 nights here and it was blissful. Nothing had prepared us for the views which were absolutely spectacular and to add to the sense of luxury you could enjoy them from an outdoor tub on your balcony soaking in bath oil infused with local spices. Having an allocated private butcher made everything easy from ordering room service to booking a buggy and all our requests were quickly met with a smile. The infinity pool has to have one of the best views in Sri Lanka. A magical experience which we will treasure. Many thanks to Halim, Gihan and all the team for making our stay memorable for all the right reasons!

For this resort you need strong nerves or excellent noise cancelling headphones which you are prepared to use day and night. The resort is located beautifully in a marvellous landscape where you could listen to the sounds of nature only. However , alas is is surrounded by temples where ceremonies can take place all day and are being broadcasted via loudspeaker with unbearable volume. ( including obituaries with people very sadly crying over loudspeaker ) The undoubtedly extremely friendly and kind staff cannot do anything to help. Perhaps it was just our misfortune- but three out of our four days there we were stuck in a very nerve wrecking situation having arrived in need for peace and tranquility . Better check before you go there if any ceremonies will be taking place during your stay
