Epic Mountain Views, Hot Tub and Privacy at Harvest Moon Lodge and Retreat!

Lauren and JC out did themselves with the extra special touches. Such as having the light switches labeled, dispensers in each shower of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. You’ll also love the convenience to different wineries, breweries, hiking, even Wintergreen. Definitely a Five star rating." "The Lodge was wonderful, well stocked with all the necessities for a family getaway and very clean can’t beat coffee in the morning on the deck with that view these guys have done hosting right, making it one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had! Upon waking in, you are greeted with a warm, cozy atmosphere. The furniture and interior decor are simply wonderful. The view is 10/10, and you feel like you are the only people in the world. The house was stocked with all amenities and you literally just need to bring a toothbrush. The beds are extremely comfortable. The basement/speakeasy game room area is THE place to be. "My Husband and I were tempted to keep this hidden gem to ourselves, but the hosts were just too fantastic. The property is absolutely stunning with jaw-dropping views of the mountain side. We felt like we walked into a home from the pages of Architectural Digest. Cleanliness was impeccable. Check in/out was a breeze. Even the smallest details were well thought out and executed flawlessly. They've set the bar extremely high for other properties on the Air BnB platform. We can't wait to return." "Just spent four nights at the wonderful Harvest Moon Lodge reconnecting with friends now that we are all vaccinated. The lodge is beautifully decorated and the mountain views are phenomenal. We enjoyed cooking gourmet meals (including the Rainbow Trout we caught down the road), hiking the property , drinking wine around the fire pit and watching our favorite concert dvds (that we brought along) on the awesome 70" tv. Many high spirited pool games were played. On our last day we went to Sunday Brunch at Cross Keys Vineyard. Great wine, good food and live music capped off a great vacation. We enjoyed our visit to Harvest Moon Lodge so much we've already booked a return trip for October. Can't wait to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy the fall foliage from my favorite deck chair at this wonderful spot!" "Amazing! Everything about our stay here was wonderful. The location was ideal with incredible views from the deck. The house is tastefully decorated and they’ve paid close attention to details, like fleece blankets in easy reach for chilly nights on the deck and lots of games for all ages in the lounge downstairs. It felt more like staying at a bed and breakfast then an Airbnb. The owners were easy to communicate with and sent us helpful tips. The area was nice with great hiking and several breweries and vineyards nearby, although honestly we preferred drinking our wine at the house and enjoying the view from the deck or the hammock! We enjoyed many of the suggestions our thoughtful hosts offered, from restaurants to hikes, but our favorite times were simply sitting on the sofa and talking while soaking in the million-dollar view. Can't say enough about the thought Lauren's put into every last detail of the house, from the stylish furniture to the interesting wall art. If I had to guess, I suspect every single book laid out in the house was a very intentional (and tasteful) choice. We definitely plan to be back - this place is a gem." "What a FABULOUS weekend getaway! Every detail of this lodge was thought out perfectly. The space was warm, inviting and absolutely stunning! The beds were everyone’s favorite piece of furniture! They were all so comfortable. The view from the deck was every bit of breathtaking. The game room was just AMAZING. There were so many activities and things to do there- I only wished we booked longer to do them all. Communication was terrific. Lauren was an excellent hostess and just the sweetest. With fire pits, a pool table, air hockey table, grill, Direct TV and more, Harvest Moon is fully equipped for families and friends of all kinds. Climb the stairs to enter the house on it's main floor where you will find an open concept living experience overlooking magnificent mountain views! The living room, boasting a stone gas fireplace, adjoins seamlessly with the kitchen and dining room making it ideal for entertaining, cooking meals together, and snuggling up by the fire, all while enjoying the views. The en-suite master bedroom with King deluxe memory foam mattress and jacuzzi tub/ shower is located on the main floor, as well as another full bathroom in the hall with a second jacuzzi tub and shower, perfect for soaking after your daytime activities. Off this main floor, you will find one of the highlights of the house- the immense wraparound porch with gas fire pit, Adirondack chairs and a dining table, inviting you to disconnect from your day to day routine and take in your surroundings and the serenity of the mountains (and if you like wine, that too! :) Upstairs on the top level of the house is one of our favorite spots- The Loft! This sitting area is truly special! It overlooks the top windows of the A-frame with SUPERB views (a perfect place for morning coffee as the sun rises and an evening drink as the sun sets.) and is adorned with comfy chairs and books, as well as a "work nook". There is a queen sized, memory foam sleeper sofa here as well making the front space of the loft an easy additional bedroom! Separated by a room divider for privacy, there is a large back bedroom with a deluxe King bed, half bath and mountain views. Open the door in the hallway off the main level of HML and encounter an entirely new and different experience heading down the stairs to the ground level game room, lounge and bar! Here, you have a vintage, moody vibe with a 70" Samsung TV, cozy seating, multiple high tops, a custom made pool table, air hockey table, and seating for ten for games and socializing at the counter height tables in front of the 13ft Mahogany wet bar! Keep your drinks cold in the small fridge down here and stay warm with the icing on the cake in this room- the wood burning stove and stone fireplace. With kid's toys, and offerings for all, this will be a main staple of your vacation experience, we are sure! On this level, there is another full bathroom, one Queen sized bedroom and the kid's bunk room with 4 twin beds as well as another huge porch adorned with patio string lights, a brand new seven person hot tub, a gas grill and plenty of seating! Harvest Moon sits on 9.2 acres of beautiful land, surrounded by mountain views. Most of the entire property is cleared, giving you your very own park to enjoy! Picnic under a tree, enjoy a fire pit under the light, take a walk on the back road winding around the property, or sit in one of the many different spots around the property with majestic views, and just take it all in. You are spoiled for choices at Harvest Moon Lodge and Retreat and we want you to enjoy every bit that the property has to offer! KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: ***A few things to note about the property- cell phone service is limited in the area. A landline is provided in case of emergency and for any calls you may need to make. You may use it freely and you may also forward your calls to the landline in case you are working from home! ***Harvest Moon is on satellite internet with limited data caps. Purchase a wi fi package for $30 for faster speeds and additional data! Remember, the best connections happen without Wifi anyways! :) We have included Direct TV on 3 TVs in the house as well as a nice collection of DVDs! Bring your favorite movies! And also remember, you're in the mountains! You may see a few bugs and creatures who call the Blue Ridge home! It's par for the course! Being nestled in the mountains can sometimes mean the occasional power outage. There are flashlights and lanterns provided and the gas fireplace still works during and outage. Outages are usually very brief and remedied quickly. <
