Hotel Vatel

The staff was friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good. The single room was small, but spacious enough. A small twin bed pushed against the wall, it there was a desk with a chair and additional room with another chair and small table. The bathroom was bigger than I expected. The corner shower was a bit cramped with the rain head shower, like it was hard to find a spot to stand if you didn’t want water dripping on you. But that’s a minor thing. The water pressure was great and nice and hot water. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I would stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel as we made a last minute switch from skiing in France to Switzerland over New Years - the hotel itself is a good quality business type hotel with modern comfortable rooms...everything you would expect. Breakfast was good, you can park right outside and it is only a 15 minute pleasant walk to the center of Martigny, a nice town, albeit without anything spectacular to offer and v quiet at night. Skiing wise, it is a 20 minute drive to the lift at Le Chable at the bottom of the valley (free easy parking) which takes you straight into the 4 valleys ski area) Only problem is I had my wallet stolen from my room, I did not report to police as was on holiday and didn't have time, we must have left the safe open or my wallet on the side, did not ever take it out the room and am certain it was taken. No major loss, cancelled the cards, lost around €200 in cash and a nice leather wallet... but watch out!! Use the safe or take things out with you.

We stayed for 2 nights, hotel room was nice as the hotel has recently been renovated, it was clean, modern & spacious. However staff are rude and unhelpful, we always felt as though we were being a nuisance to them asking for anything. Food options are also not great in the hotel’s restaurant. We definitely won’t be returning to hotel vatel.

I spent a night early december in HOtel Vatel. Upon my arrival, i was informed at the reception that there was going to be a party with music late night and that I could upgrade to a room paying 20chf more. I refuse to pay more and accepted to stay in my room assuming that the music would go uptil midnight. I woke up around midnight with windows of my room trembling with that horrible music and people shouting loudly. called up security and the security man told me that I had to "tolerate" it until 2am as the 200 peole had paid the party ( i assume that they had bought the staff and the hotel). I too had paid 150chf for the night. I decided to send an email of complaint to the chef d'hebergement of the hotel sorry pub(as the ambience that night was worst than a pub). The music went on until 4am in the morning. no staff helped me. nobody listened. next morning they offered me the breakfast (as they had already read my complaint). i asked them to reimburse my money completely as i felt cheated and tortured that night. The chef d'herbegement sent me a mail refusing any reimbursement but giving me a bon to stay overnight & have breakfast. after going through what i had been through i do not wish to stay a night there, its a noisy hotel cum pub with stressed out people around. Then energy is toxic. You can't relax. YOu can sesnse the tension in the staff and a certain mal etre. i do not recommend people this hotel cum pub. Please go there at your own risk. They are more interested in selling than serving.

Personnel pas sympa du tout, pas souriant et surtout pas accueillant!! Chambre vraiment pas très propre, beaucoup de poussière, urine un peu partout autour des toilettes, support papier toilette cassé… Chambre juste à côté de l’ascenseur, c’était infernal le bruit… Et beaucoup de bruit à travers les ventilations de la climatisation! Nous avons demandé les infos pour le p’tit déjeuner, le réceptionniste a été tellement antipathique que nous sommes allée le prendre ailleurs…dommage! Le soir nous avons bu un café sur la terrasse, mais on sentait bien qu’on embêtait le personnel!! Vraiment dommage, nous ne gardons pas un très bon souvenir de notre séjour!! La literie par contre était top!!

Nous avons organisé dans une salle de l'hôtel Vatel un repas festif avec des intervenants + animations ! Tout le team a assuré, de la cuisine au service en passant par la cheffe de projet, c'était parfait. Nous avons bien été accompagnés. Les intolérances ont été respectées, le devis et les prix tenus, les quantités bien suffisantes, la qualité du repas exceptionnelle de l'entrée au plat jusqu'au dessert et le timing (qui avait forcément évolué entre notre planification et la réalité du terrain) a permis à la soirée de bien se dérouler!!! Bravo, ça fait plaisir ! Je conseille volontiers à tous les organisateurs, les futurs mariés, communions, etc !
