Riad Ifoulki

Fantastic location and a very warm welcome. It seems like a big place but you hardly see anyone as you’re all spread out. Breakfast was lovely, they sit you down and give you some mint tea when you’re checking in, and the owner or staff are always on hand to check that you’re enjoying your stay. We didn’t stay for dinner but will next time. Will definitely be back.

Spent a very enjoyable 4 nights in this authentic riad with my husband end January 2025. Stayed in a junior suite on the first floor with a lovely large balcony. Very informal, relaxed vibe. Breakfasted on rooftop terrace and enjoyed some dinners with owner Peter and fellow guests of different nationalities - lots of opportunities to practise French and German! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The riad is beautiful, with lots of spots to relax or soak up the sun. The roof terrace in particular was one of our favourite spots. Breakfast is served between 9am-6pm whenever and wherever you want it. It consisted of breads, dips and omletye with coffee and orange juice. We had dinner at the riad on one evening, which was a pleasant 4 course meal including a soup, salad, tagine and desert for €25 per person. The dinner was taken on the rooftop with other guests and the owner Peter. Peter and the staff are hands down what makes this place so special, nothing was ever too much trouble and they went out of the way to ensure we felt safe, happy and made the most of our time in Marrakech. We had an early start for a prearranged tour at 5am one morning and the lovely gentleman on the night shift met us at the door and walked with us to our pick up point to ensure we didn’t get lost. Location wise it was nice and tucked away from the chaos but close enough to access everything by foot. Cannot recommend this place enough for an authentic Moroccan experience. Wonderful location. A great experience for the spirited trave!ler. We booked a standard room which was adequate for our needs but would advise taking one of the larger rooms or junior suites. Having read some of the negative reviews, they just don't reflect our experience of the riad. This is not a five star hotel (You get those outside the medina). It is home open to guests who can become as involved as they wish. Breakfast is from 9 ' til 6 ( yes, that's right) with a complete choice of where you have it served with dinner from 7pm on the roof along with all the other multinational guests with whom you may engage in conversation through the good offices of the multilingual and eternally youthful owner, Peter. The staff were, without exception, young, enthusiastic, friendly and very obviously loved what they were doing. Can thoroughly recommend. Thanks for a great experience.

Brilliant location; a hop and skip from the Jemaa el-Fnaa square and souks. Riad Ifoulki is an absolute oasis. Thank you to Peter the owner and all of the staff, who really did make us feel like guests rather than customers. In short, a delight. You will not regret staying here.

We spent 3 nights at the Riad Ifoulki and we had just the best time. First, let me say a big thank you to all the wonderful staff who work there and cannot do enough for you, the hotel Manager Abdul who put a new Sim card in my phone in the first 20 minutes and was always ready to help and answer queries. The hotel is full of charm, a real Moroccan experience with lush interior gardens and lovely places on the roof to read, sleep or sunbathe. The hotel is in the old town and you can walk to anywhere you might want to have a look at in Marrakesh. We chose half board and we were really glad that we did, breakfast can be had at pretty much any time you wish and anywhere in the hotel you wish to have it. Dinners were excellent and magical taken on the rooftop terrace. In spite of being in the centre of the city the hotel is very quiet and the rooms are lovely and most have their own private terrasse. But the thing that made Riad Ifoulki amazing, is the atmosphere and the way the guest are treated, it's like a great big embrace. everyone dines together, along with the owner Peter and you get to know everyone in the hotel and it's great for using your languages and swapping tips for visits in the city and outside. We absolutely loved it and we made friends.
