Very friendly and helpful hosts. My wife came down with a cold while walking The Ridgeway and they were so helpful giving her some emergency cold and flu tablets. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast. They allowed us to check in early too.

Spacious bedroom & en suite with a bath. Extra touches included home made cake and peanut butter biscuits. Delicious dinner, breakfast, and packed lunch. Interesting history which owners willing to explain. Good service. Thoroughly recommend.

They very kindly accommodated us on a night when they would normally be closed. We were very pleased with the large and comfortable room and very good sized ensuite bathroom. The restaurant was closed, but we knew that in advance, so nothing to say about that. A continental breakfast was provided which was sufficient. The sandwiches in the packed lunch were the best we had all week while walking the Ridgeway.

My son and I stayed here whilst cycling the King Alfred's Way. Megan and Mike were super hosts offering tips and advice about the route and the area. We had a lovely meal and drinks in the bar and restaurant. The rooms were clean and comfortable with amenities for making tea/coffee. The fresh scone was a very nice (and welcome!) touch. Thoroughly recommended if you are in this part of the country.

Room very clean and tidy and a good size. Bed comfy, good night's sleep. Hosts very friendly. Food good. Had pizza and fries, very tasty. Quirky pub, would appear used by locals and visitors to the area alike. Group of motor bikers arrived. Thankyou for your service. Thankyou for a pleasant stay.

The landlord and lady were very welcoming after a long day’s cycle ride on King Alfred’s Way. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. Our pizzas in the evening were great and breakfast was delicious. We were grateful for the packed lunch which was also very tasty with little energy boosting additions like nuts and raisins and cake. A very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

Superb overnight stop on the King Alfred's Way (KAW) cycle route. Comfortable room and bed with a decent shower. Friendly owners and a superb breakfast to charge you up for the day ahead. Secure cycle storage facility too. Ogbourne St George is the perfect 1st stop if attempting the KAW in 3 days and The Inn with the Well is the ideal accommodation. Thank you guys .

Travelled in a group of ten. Excellent service, made to feel really welcome The rooms were clean, spacious, with an excellent shower and bath and great towels There was good heating for colder days The hosts were everything you want from a pub stay They were so thoughtful setting up an outside table for ten for dinner as the sun was shining Excellent food at dinner and breakfast We all had a packed lunch all wrapped in brown paper, good healthy choices too Thank you to our hosts for making us all so comfortable and welcome

Fab stay in this hotel. We went with family so there were 10 of us. Welcomed with a bottle of cold water on arrival. We had an attic room. Spotlessly clean rooms with everything we needed. Bed really comfortable. Room had TV, tea making facilities (including biscuits), nice strong shower with plenty of hot water and a bath if you prefer to soak after a day walking the Ridgeway. There was also shampoo/body wash, conditioner, fluffy towels, hairdryer, brilliant little bedside lamps that had usb plugs in them for phone charging, a tray from dirty boots by the door and a fridge on the landing for use by the two rooms on the top floor. We had a really nice meal sitting in the garden which was tasty and reasonably priced. Nice selection of drinks and we ordered the picnics the next day (£8) and the sandwiches (pretty tied with string) cake, drink, nuts, boiled egg were really delicious too. Perfect, comfortable stay.
