The Kinney was a delight. The edgy style it shows amongst its decor is welcoming and the staff are attentive and happy to assist. The two rooms we booked were clean, well maintained and comfortable. Would absolutely stay in this area and at The Kinney again.

I brought my wife and two kids here for 3 nights and it turned out great. The Kinney cares about cleanliness and the rooms are nice. Parking is very convenient. The only hiccup that we didn’t even bring up as it wasn’t a huge deal is we booked a room that had a door to the bedroom (as reflected on *******). Our room did not have a door. The Hot Tub and pool area is small, but as long as you are flexible or not shy for when you want to swim/hot tub it’s a nice pool area with music playing. If we come back to stay in the area, we will book with them again!

It was completely fine and conveninetly located. Its a little worse for wear and not as new as things look in the pictures but consistent with 3 star rating and reasonable price for the area. Easy on site parking with friendly staff. It's like an old days inn with attempt at hip paintjob but still having popcorn stucco.

Overall very happy with our stay at the Kinney. The website made it look amazing but the facilities were a little old and the location was a bit far from the beach. The gym needs a refurbishing badly.

Staff were great! Parking was easy in an area that has notorious parking issues. It is walkable to some things, bike-able to all the best Venice has to offer. The building felt quite old and worn. The room smelled of a combination of overpowering disinfectant and must. Compared to everything else in the area, it was affordable and felt pretty safe.

I really liked this place. It has a fun upbeat vibe. The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean. The pool and hot tub were a great bonus. Ask for a room on the third floor away from the activities if you have kids. I was by myself and didn't mind the extra noise at all, but if you have little ones with you it would be a good idea to have some quiet. I plan on going back next year as well! Also staff was super friendly and helpful.

The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, 15 min. walk to the beach. I would stay here again.

So disappointed. We called to book a room specifically because we were hoping to use the hot tub. The person we spoke with confirmed that the hot tub was open and hot, but when we arrived the water was freezing cold. We asked the front desk if they could turn it up but they insisted they could not and also said that it was cold because it was a rainy day. Having a hot tub at home, I know that once you set it to a specific temperature, as long as it’s working, it will stay at that temperature despite rain, snow, etc. They could have been upfront about the hot tub being cold or not working, and we wouldn’t have made a reservation with them. I am appalled by the level of service, and I cannot recommend staying here.

Great stay with very unique decorations. The hotel was able to accommodate a rollaway bed last minute due to the rainstorm to house more guests. Overall, I will come back!

Got a mega suite on a whim. It was very large, and it was different than the photos. Mine had a long hallway. The upstairs neighbors walked very loudly. The light in the living room was nice. It was a little less bright in the bedroom. The style is retro, but the property is old. There’s a faint stale smell in the sink. We didn’t use the outdoor amenities because it was raining. Overall, I think 4 is fair because of the service and the condition of the building.

The front desk staff was great and accommodating! Parking is $22 a night. The pool and hot tub were amazing and there’s a great area to hang out!

Nice chill spot in Venice , lots of restaurants near by , the hotel itself doesn’t offer food or drinks but their is a liquor store next door , room was great , pay parking Available .

I want to stay longer next time. Perfect lounging by the pool and poolside bar. I love the design of the rooms. They have parking which is important in Venice Beach.
