We stayed at CGH Marari Beach for 3 nights after a fantastic stay with CGH’s houseboat, but unfortunately this property didn’t live up to expectations. The natural surroundings are beautiful, but the service, cleanliness, and overall hospitality were far below what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel charging €400 per night. The staff felt unengaged, the rooms lacked attention to detail, and basic amenities were not replenished unless requested multiple times. No turndown service, no pool/beach support, and visible signs of wear throughout the property. While we appreciated a complimentary dinner and had kind interactions with a few team members, the experience was overall disappointing — especially compared to other 5-star hotels we stayed at during our India trip, all of which were priced lower and delivered outstanding service. We hope CGH Earth can bring this property back in line with the standard the brand is known for.
