Super loud construction going on next door and no warning put out by the hotel. Rooms do not have blackout shades for all the windows and very bright. Photos of villas very misleading with all rooms being separate and not one building, living room is outside. Horrible customer, I’ve been left waiting hours to talk to the manager to find a solution. Save your money, Do not book here!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The hotel is very cozy and nice, beautiful green areas and very welcoming. The staff is very friendly and attentive, all the staff in the restaurant area and the front desk were the best. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. The hotel is very clean and the rooms too, very nice and cozy with very nice details. I really can't say enough good things. We want to go back and stay longer. I recommend this hotel 100% and I recommend using the shuttle service as well, excellent.

This was actually our first hotel of our trip (made of 6 in total) and it could not have started any better. Not too sure why I had red a couple of so so reviews, trust me this hotel is a gem!! Great location if you are looking for peace and quiet in good distance to Puerto viejo, not too far not too close. It is next to Manzanilla beach, literally 500m walking distance. As we were jet lag we walked on the beach every morning before breakfast and we had the beach for ourselves!! If you are a light sleeper you may get woken up by the howler monkeys but we actually loved it as it really gave us this feeling of really being in the jungle and closer to the wildlife ! The hotel has been one of the best place for breakfast, with really good options and delicious home cooked bread. I would personally recommend their Caribbean eggs (if I am not mistaken) which you will experience all the Caribbeans flavours !! Hotel was pretty quiet, probably with the same type of people as us looking for a secluded and relaxed place. Special mention to Fabricio which straight from the beginning was super welcoming, friendly and giving us lots of information on the beginning of our trip. Room was very confortable as well as the bed, one of the best of our stay in Costa Rica. Only 2 small criticisms, the shower didn’t have much pressure and it was hard to find the right temperature and there is no door in the bathroom/toilet so for some couples that could be a downer ! However this does not make me change the full grading I am giving to this hotel which largely deserves it for its service, cleanliness, location, staff, food, etc. Lastly I just want to mention that Manzanillo beach was our favourite of the trip! Its black sand is extraordinary and the place feels still very authentic and natural!!

In contrast to the poor review from November 2023, this place is an oasis. We selected the room we stayed in because it faced the pool and dining area, and it looked just as it did in the pictures. We paid about $180 per night. It was quaint, cozy, and clean and the cute "island" vibe of the room is just right and so well done. The roof is made of corrugated tin though so when it rained hard, it was loud...you could say it was part of the Caribbean experience. The staff was great and very friendly, food was good, and the area was quiet. We couldn't expect anymore than what we experienced. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we ever go back.

Empezamos nuestra luna de miel en este hotel y no pudimos empezar mejor. La atención recibida por todo el personal tanto de recepción como del restaurante no tienen competencia. Especial mención a Fabrizzio que nos acompañó durante las noches en el restaurante. La habitación era preciosa, tal y como la habíamos visto en las fotos, no muy grande, pero cerramos las maletas y no fue un problema para nada. Echamos de menos una puerta en el baño, Sí, pero mientras uno iba al baño, el otro se relajaba en la terracita con un té o un café recién hecho, nada grave. Y los desayunos, de los 5 alojamientos en los que estuvimos en Costa Rica, algunos incluso más caros, han sido los mejores sin dudarlo. Verdaderamente cuando volvamos al Caribe Sur de Costa Rica volveremos a alojarnos en el Exótico, sin duda.

Unfähiges Management, sehr schlechter Services: Ich habe meine Hose verfärbt aus der Reinigung erhalten. Mitarbeiter haben keine Entscheidungskompetenz, alles muss über das Management laufen, was telefonisch nicht zu erreichen ist und sich auch im Nachgang nicht bei mir gemeldet hat. Lachhafte Rabatt als Kompensation erhalten. Baustellen sind immer noch vorhanden. Schallisolierung der Räume ist mangelhaft, Schlafgeräusche aus dem Nachbarzimmer sind zu hören, bei Regen ist es so laut in dem Raum, dass man nicht schlafen kann. Die Pool Umrandung ist abgesackt und bildet eine 1 cm Stolperkante, was aber jedem egal ist. An einigen Tagen war kein Hotelparkplatz mehr verfügbar.
