We had no idea what to expect on our first family trip to Costa Rica and Tulemar set the bar very high. We stayed 4 nights and we were sad to leave and missing Tulemar after arriving at our second destination. From the incredible property where we began and ended our days on the balcony listening to howler monkeys and watching macaws soar through the sky, to the warm service we experienced by everyone from the shuttle drivers, restaurant staff, to the shop staff and helpful concierge’s. Miguel took great care to make us feel welcome and the activities he book for us were so fun. We used the shuttle service provided by Tulemar to pick up from San Jose and our drive felt like a tour….he was so knowledgeable and enjoyable to chat with. As a bonus the two bedroom was perfect. We look forward to returning one day!

The views and the wildlife made this stay extraordinary. We were in an ocean view bungalow and awed every day at the beauty. We had monkeys climbing on our balcony, views of macaws, easy viewing for sloths… so magical! Our 4 year old and 8 year old especially appreciated the wildlife and pools. Having a small kitchen made it easy to cook our own breakfasts and then take advantage of the onsite restaurant for lunch or dinner. We would absolutely return to Tulemar.

We had an amazing holiday staying right in the middle of jungle surrounded by the most wonderful wildlife. So good sitting on the balcony in the evening watching troops of different monkeys moving through the trees. Lots of great restaurants nearby too.

Tough to not sound like I was paid for this but I wasn’t! My wife and I went on our honeymoon to Tulemar and it was amazing. We saw daily monkeys and sloths everywhere. The private beach was amazing. Tulemar is on a huge hill but they have a shuttle they will bring you around the resort. Our toughest decision was whether to go to the pool or the beach each day. You get a concierge when you book with them and ours (Fabio) booked all of our activities and dinner reservations. Our villa was also insane and had amazing jungle and ocean views. Sitting on the balcony watching monkeys move through the trees was magical!

My husband and I just visited this gorgeous piece of paradise for four days and it was the most amazing vacation we’ve ever taken as a couple. From the lush jungle-type setting to our daily encounters with monkeys and sloths to the gorgeous beach and lovely restaurant with great food and terrific views, it was truly an unforgettable experience. We are especially grateful to Chris M., our terrific concierge who went above and beyond to make this a fun, seamless experience and we hope to be able to visit again.

The stay was flawless. Our unit and resort grounds are perfectly maintained. The staff is well trained and both friendly and courteous. Our concierge, Miguel, was incredibly helpful in arranging rides and all our reservations. This resort would stand out in any country as 4-5 star.

Tulemar was a wonderful accomadation for our family. We stayed in Belleza Verde, which was a brand new property, and it could not have been more beautiful. Raul, our concierge, was always very helpful in solving any issues and creating our itinerary. Also, Tulecafe had the best food we tasted in Manuel Antonio. The only improvements I could hope for are the amenities to the property in general. The family pool and the pool at the café could be a bit nicer and perhaps heated.

We stayed here at cusp of rainy season, which meant limited tourists but actually very little rain (maybe 1 hr per day). It was lush, brimming with wildlife, and on a gorgeous volcano sand beach. Our host, Javier Guzman, was phenomenal. He checked in when needed, booked all our activities, and coordinated with locals. Can't wait to return.

If you’re looking for an amazing, family friendly resort in Manuel Antonio, look no further! From breathtaking views to an abundance of wildlife on property, amazing pools to luxurious beds/bedding to concierges who are available to assist with planning excursions and ensuring your stay in the most relaxing experience ever! At Tulemar, we saw more sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and macaws on property than anywhere else during our 2-week vacation with various stops in Costa Rica! However, to see the most wildlife get up early. The views are breathtaking! I would recommend using the shuttle to the beach, as the hills down are really steep. The beach has free sand toys, boogie boards, etc. for the kids. Orlando, our concierge, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had all our excursions set up. I’d give this place 10 stars!!!
