White Knight Hotel Intramuros

We arrived at the hotel around 2pm so immediate check-in was allowed. I was so impressed at the size of the room. It was big, so big you can fit several medium to large luggages on the floor if those are what you have. We were provided with 2 beds, I like the comfy mattress and pillows.👍👍👍 Also on the bed when we arrived were thick bathrobes, so thick that I thought they were the towels (in the form of bathrobes), because there were no towels provided at the time of check-in. We rested comfortably for 2 hours before heading out to see the charm Intramuros, it's the very reason why we chose this hotel in the first place. For this reason, we made the right choice because it was literally just a few steps away from Casa Manila and all the other places of interest inside Intramuros. From there, we were also able to hire an e-trike to go outside of Intramuros (Jones Bridge and Luneta Rizal Park). In short, our day was full and we were looking to rest peacefully at our room in White Knight. Here comes the CONS: 1. There's no WIFI signal in our room (102)! Say what? YEs, no WIFI. They have their silly excuses and I don't want to type in detail because it's ridiculous and triggering. If you want to connect to their free WIFI, you must go to the lobby. If there's no WIFI signal in the room, let's have the other option, connect to mobile data. Surprise! No signal for my DITO network as well.🫪🫪🫪 Bummer! I asked if we can be transferred to a room with signal, their best solution is a room at the 3rd floor. But but but, they have no lift (elevator). Mmmm I guess, I have no choice but to sleep... 2. Dang! Room 102 was truly the worst room to have a good night's sleep. This hotel is not gated, and outside our room was literally the cobblestoned streets where trikes pass by, people walk by, people stand by.😭😵💫😵💫 So even at 12 midnight, you can hear bikes, ebikes, people talking on the phone, people playing music from whatever gadget. Not my type of room to sleep in! No comfy bed, pillows, air-conditioning can compensate for the noisy alley just right outside the window. So that's my review. Book in this hotel according to what you can tolerate. If this hotel's location is important to you, then opt for a room NOT on the first floor where it's still noisy at night, and there's no signal. P.s. I wasn't convinced that the thick big bathrobe would serve as their towel, so I had to ask for real towels. It turns out, they failed to put real towels in our room before check-in. I also had to ask for welcome bottled water which was also supposed to be there upon check in. But I had to ask several times because they were waiting for delivery. I couldn't wait any longer, I settled for their service water. Thank you.

The location was good and very convenient. The room itself was decent, but not very clean—especially the windows, which were quite dusty. In our first room, the air conditioner wasn’t working properly so it was too warm, and we had to request a transfer. Thankfully, the second room had a functioning aircon. However, we noticed several issues during our stay. Some of our companions had problems with their shower not working, and when they were supposed to be transferred, the next room’s aircon also wasn’t cooling properly. There were quite a few inconveniences overall. The reception staff didn’t seem very accommodating or responsive to concerns. It may have been due to a high volume of guests, but it would have helped if concerns were acknowledged more promptly. The lobby was also quite warm, which made it uncomfortable not just for guests but also for the staff in corporate attire. The surroundings can be a bit noisy since the location is close to busy areas. Overall, since this was our first time staying here for a nearby event, we appreciated the convenient location and affordability. However, the overall experience was around 6/10. I hope they can improve the room conditions and address maintenance issues moving forward. We also didn’t get the chance to take photos of the room for reference. I hope improvements can be made, as the place itself has a lot of potential and the location is really good.

The hotel although strategically situated is very old and cramp. The service was all good, but then the room we stayed in was a let-down.

The location is good. The aircon in the room is cold. Shower has hot or cold option.

The hotel's condition leaves much to be desired, but we were prepared for that. The main advantage of this hotel is its location. The service and staff are also good.

What a disaster of a hotel. First they wanted us to pay a deposit of 2000P having not put that in their conditions of booking. (We didn't pay it). There was no wifi even though it was heavily promoted. When shown to the room there was no water for making coffee though they provided nescafe and a kettle. One of the cups still had lipstick on from a previous user. The place was generally dirty. Only one toothbrush kit was provided for two people. The shower had one setting. On or off. You couldn't change the temperature (though it was warm enough). The bathroom floor had wall tiles which were very slippery when wet. Really dangerous. The breakfast was OK though they served nescafe and the service was very slow. And the hotel is in desperate need of renovation. (it was last renovated in 2012). Upkeep has obviously been minimal since then. One piece of good news to end with: We are told the front desk is open 24/7 before it adds if you intend to arrive outside those hours you should let the hotel know in advance. Make of that what you will! Will I stay there again? Definitely not. Ever!

No wifi at the location, cannot dial the reception easily, need to visit them at the ground floor to raise my concerns.

Location is good , just few minutes walk to the key site seeing location. I spent one night only, the next day can start to move around the city inside the walls. If you don’t want to walk , simply hop on the cycle or rent a bamboo bike 😉
