Hotel Sai Palace , Mangalore

Recently on 11th of August, we had organised a function for a gathering of 145 guest here at Sai Palace Banquet Hall. Initially, when we had come for the enquiry of the hall, it was told to us that they hve the lowest buffet rates and the service that they provide was top class from their end. But on the function day we were really disappointed with the way, thr service provided to our guest. 1) First and foremost the washrooms were stinking terribly and did not have water and were not at all clean. One of the worst thing was that, the guest who entered inside had to rush outside the way it was stinking. 2) During the function when it came to the turn of serving starters to the guest, they had the pathetic service, it wasn’t served to everyone in the hall and the saddest thing is that the guest had to complain to the manager, he himself was not polite a person and had an ego of his own. He was not bothered even after client complained about it and just trying to give an excuse that they are going to prepare and serve in few minutes and then just escape. 3) We had 4 starters, Just imagine 3 staffs serving 145 people how will they manage to serve all the guest within 90 minutes. When they say it's a buffet, why don't they just get the starters in a bowl and place it on the round table as other Banquet Hotels do. 4) Forget about the service staff, even the banquet manager was not well trained to supervise the distribution of starters and hence few guests ended up getting nothing. 5) According to the way they say "Reputed Hotel", the starters were served on a paper plates instead of Cutlery Plates. How disgusting the guest would hve felt looking at those paper plates placed on the round table being in "Reputed Hotel"? 6) As soon as the event got over the banquet manager came asking to pay the bill without the Invoice copy. He came in such a gesture as if the client will run away without paying. Back then, we have organised our other events in some of the Reputed banquet hotel like AJ Grand, Loft, Goldfinch. They hve better service and food compared to this one. Atleast they hve some courtesy to share the final invoice after a day or so and then ask us to make the payment. 7) We had confirmed for 160 pax. Unfortunately we had 145 guest. And I agree we had to pay for the confirmed Order and I have paid it. At the same time, the hotel manager had to compensate us with a take away for the left over food b'coz it's Client's share for the price we have paid.

Situated in a prime location (opposite city centre mall) easy to find with a good atmosphere. Nice and clean hotel, especially liked the rooms which were spacious and tidy, loved the decor. Staff were polite. Restaurant serves veg and non veg food which was quite ok.

Nice , clean and decent hotel. Efficient staff and a good breakfast spread. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is five minutes from the Central Railway station. The flip side is the room is a bit small. However it is compact and functional.

My reservation was handled properly and room was ready on arrival. The property is centrally located. Sufficient car park available. The rooms are very elegant with spacious toilets and amenities. The room numbers are very beautifully visible in the corridor and hence easy to locate. Very charming property and the best in the segment. The staff are NOT AT ALL friendly or courteous. There was not a smile or a greeting from any of the receptionists during my multiple interactions with them. I dined at their Udipi cafe restaurant three times and all the three times the waiters were not courteous or helpful. Orders were not taken properly nor were queries answered properly. The supervisors in the restaurant were a notch worse in attitude. My soup was not hot and when I requested it to be heated, the supervisor had the gall to ask me if the soup was cold. When I informed that it was NOT HOT, he was reluctant to believe it and was deliberating if it had to be reheated . Overall the staff are uniformly bad and need a lot of training in hospitality and guest relationship. The housekeeping staff, bell boys and security personnel were courteous and warm. It's sad that such a lovely property with good food is tarnished by the rude behaviour of people working for it.

Best stay in indore. Pleasant atmosphere..very friendly staff...specially Mr.Darshan ji and aarati madam. Also Mr shubham, Abhishek all are very friendly staff in the restaurant...food is great...I felt like home...very good hospitality by Mr Darshan ji...I stayed for 21 days and never felt like going out..Thanks to team ...I wish all the best to all ☺️👍🎉
