I paid upfront but was asked for an 'imprint' of my card at the desk, when I arrived. I only use my card on secure sites and pay in cash. I would not have booked, had I known I had to give an imprint (sounds like something that could be used to copy my card) When I said I was unhappy about this, the receptionist said I'd been sent the terms and conditions AFTER I'd paid. When I said I'd contact my bank, the receptionist said she hadn't taken an imprint, despite saying that, if she didn't take an imprint, she'd have to charge me a £100 deposit which would require her to put my card in a machine,. However, she had taken my card and clicked on it 2 times with her computer. Just after, a dodgy guy arrived and the blonde/ grey haired small man at reception said 'I've got it' and hurried out with him. I have a very bad feeling about this and want this experience recorded immediately. I will update, if any fraud is actioned against my account. To sum up, I only ever use my card to withdraw cash from inside my actual bank and to purchase online through verified and secure sites. I do not use it iin real life, where it can be copied - this is the first and only time my card has been used in a situation where this could happen.
