Vox Maris Resort

Booked here 12 months ago after staying at the nearby Ali Bey resort in 2024 which was simply amazing !!! We’ve been coming to Turkey the last 3 years in October and we’ve always had an amazing time till now !!! Came here Thursday 23rd October 2025 and I’ve never been to a hotel in all my years of travelling that so unwelcoming & Anti English !! I’ve paid a lot of money to come here for a week especially as paid for a swim up room as a treat worst money I’ve ever spent … if your any nationality apart from British you’ll be fine. .. The cleaner to our room is lovely as are the staff in the hotel lobby bar .. been the pool bar at night and as soon as a young boy with longish dark hair here’s your English tells you to sit down and someone will serve you yet he serves everyone else !!! So we’ve had to wait for a waiter to come over & serve you .. Had treatments in the Spa the first day the woman on the desk there is really rude & obnoxious which is a shame as they lady that done my massage was lovely and amazing but due to the rudeness of the woman at reception I cancelled my other treatment. I’ve never been on a holiday where I can’t wait to go home & get back to work !!!!

I read reviews before I came but I always like to make my own mind up. However I’ve been here 4 nights and the negative reviews are true ! If you’re English DO NOT STAY HERE ! Staff are rude to the English , never felt so unwelcome !! I will be contacting EasyJet and the hotel direct with my concerns. Paid for a swim up room that you only get the sun to early afternoon in , food mediocre, pool freezing , drinks ok. Not enough sunbeds for the amount of guest. Large queues for food. Spa lovely . Staff in lobby bar nice and the odd waiter is ok but others really spoil it! If you’re French , Dutch or German you will be fine ! English go elsewhere! We asked for an extra duvet and waited 9 hours ! Even after downloading the App as advised !

While walking back to the Barut Goia, my wife and I were unfortunate to witness a traffic accident on the main road outside the Vox Maris resort. While we were helping the injured, Ayfi appeared from nowhere and took control of the incident, assessing each casualty while talking to the Police. Ayfi then came with us to the Police station to translate and assist us while we made a witness statement. She then made sure that we were taken back to our hotel. Thank you so much Ayfi for being there with us, you are a wonderful person and it was a pleasure to meet up with you and your husband xx

7 day stay, the hotel itself is clean and well presented as you would expect as this is only the second season it has been open. Lobby staff, always happy to help, and there are a few staff behind the lobby bar and the bakery that where always friendly and nothing was any trouble. The staff at the pool bar seemed lovely and we did have one bar man who was so lovely and tbh he really is a credit to the hotel, unfortunately I'm terrible with names but he worked the evening shift, he knew our drinks and made sure we never had an empty glass. The entertainment team, where a complete let down, only one member said hello to us her name rose, thank you for chatting to us and making an effort the rest completely unapproachable unless you where here to party or young and pretty, which brings me to my next point of there incredibly annoying Club song, why does an adults only hotel need one? Be prepared if you are English to be mostly ignored or not spoken to by the animation team. The entertainment during the day by the pool often left you frustrated you could not hear conversations as the music was so loud and the activities somewhat of an ibiza weekender, foam parties and beach volley ball tournaments. The Food at the buffet is basic and the same daily and often cold, they had one night turkish night that was great, shame they do not add some of those dishes to the rest of the week considering this is turkey! The food at the food stop saved the day the food was better here and plenty to choose from. Drinks where okay your standard, however be careful as they rarely measure the amount of alcohol and they are more like quads rather than single or double servings. The war of diet pepsi and regualr pepsi, they are not the same! My partner is a diabetic and would often ask for diet and get regular and wonder why he is feeling so poorly. The sunbeds, they don't allow reservation of sunbeds, this made me happy to read however, the term "there is enough for everyone" isn't true and they are gone by 9.30 the latest most days so brace yourself to be waking up at the crack of dawn each morning,be prepared also to witness through out the day sunbeds that are reserved with no one on them. The rooms where clean, modern and tidy, you receive a free mini bar which was a nice touch and topped up daily free of charge. Evening shows where good and a great way to end the day, normally alot of singing, however would have been lovely to have seen something cultural especially as turkey has such an amazing culture. The location is great, be prepared for 30 to 40 min walk to the old town but worth it lots to see on the way, or you can just get a taxi for 10 euro takes about 5 minutes. All and all. If your looking for a vibe holiday with a good location, this is for you. Those who are looking for a quite getaway and good food stay clear.

Valuables stolen & no help – disappointing experience at a so-called 5-star resort I expected much more from VOX MARIS RESORT, especially when it comes to security, service, and professionalism. Here’s what happened: One Friday around noon, I left my poolside lounger to grab some food at the "Food Stop" about 100 m away. I was gone for about 30–45 minutes. During that short time, my AirPods Pro were stolen directly from my lounger. I reported the incident immediately and provided multiple screenshots and detailed information showing the exact location of the AirPods. Despite all of that, I received no real help or support. The hotel completely denied any responsibility – even though the theft occurred within the secured hotel area that should only be accessible to guests. Frankly, this level of handling is unacceptable for a 5-star resort. I’ve now handed the case over to my lawyer. Other downsides: The QR code ordering system at the pool loungers was unreliable. Sometimes drinks arrived within 15 minutes, other times it took over an hour – and occasionally, they didn’t come at all. The cocktails were truly awful – artificial-tasting and barely drinkable. Wi-Fi on the 5th floor was weak and unstable. The food was okay, but nothing special. The rooms were clean and housekeeping was consistent – probably the only clear positive. My honest advice to future guests: Do not leave any valuables unattended, not even something like headphones on your lounger. Unfortunately, this place is not as safe as it should be – even within the resort grounds. Bottom line: If you're looking for real 5-star service, security, and guest care, this resort may leave you very disappointed.

Food was poor, no tables ,no sunbeds. Entertainment team I found unprofessional! and only interacted with certain guests. Bar staff don't know how to make cocktails! Staff around hotel look unhappy and don't offer any help in anyway. This hotel is not a 5*
