Hotel Vega

We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Vega for a week. Spotlessly clean, kind and friendly staff, beautiful breakfast, varied options each day, lovely deck and garden by the lake, would absolutely recommend and return!

Stayed here for 2 nights as a solo traveller end of June 2025. I checked availability on hotel website and 1 room showing availability for my dates. Emailed the hotel and asked what room it would be and they emailed back with the room circled on a photo. I booked straight away. Arrived about 2 hours earlier than check in and was told this was no problem and my room was ready. I was shown to the secure car park which is attached to the hotel garden. Ideal parking location which is entered by tapping room key on door sensor. The room was perfect, with air con on for arrival and with tiled floors it was the perfect temperature in the heat wave Europe was experiencing. Opened the patio doors and was greeted with the most spectacular of views up and down the lake and acroas to the mountains. The room and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely and had the perfect lake view though the large windows. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, and direct access to the lake. The hotel is only a short walk from the town where you can access many fine restaurants and shops. I recommend a visit to the castle. You can also get the ferry across the lake or if feeling more adventurous you can get the cable car up Mount Baldo. Special mention to the hotel staff here who are so friendly and welcoming. I will hopefully return to this wonderful hotel someday.

We stayed for 7 nights in this beautiful hotel. We arrived around midday and our room was ready us. We had a side lake view room which was immaculate and had a view of the lake on one side and the mountains on the other. The hotel is located in the centre of Malcesine but is very quiet. Breakfast offers plenty of choice with hot and cold options with eggs cooked to order. The breakfast room has a stunning view of the lake. The staff are friendly and helpful and can’t do enough for you. The owner Marco goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We would definitely return and would give more than five stars if we could.

I visited this charming hotel with my husband for a few nights recently after it was recommended to me by a family member who visits regularly, and it did not disappoint. Ideally located in the centre of Malcesine with direct access to the lake. The hotel is small, but that adds to its charm, and the staff go above and beyond. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and always done with a smile. The rooms are immaculate, don’t worry if you don’t have a lake view room, there are small balconies that you can access to sit and take in the wonderful views while relaxing with an Aperol or a coffee. 🥹 Breakfast was delicious and more than adequate, the waiting staff were delightful, and always there with a smile, whatever our needs. Breakfast is served in the most beautiful setting and we loved that we had the same table for the duration of our stay. Amazing views at breakfast wherever you sit. The reception team were always there to greet us with a smile, regardless of time, and the team even came out to wish us farewell at 6.40am as we left for the airport. If you’re thinking of booking this gorgeous hotel. Do it you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Team Hotel Vega for a perfect few days in one of our favourite places.

In 2024 we stayed in Garda, visiting Malcesine and saw the Hotel Vega looking crisp and brilliantly located as we pulled into the harbour and thought maybe this is an option for 2025. We booked and were not disappointed on any level. This hotel has great attentive staff, is spotlessly clean, great views of the lake from the breakfast room, a light snack menu upto 11.00PM and well stocked bar. The hotel is brilliantly located to the centre of Malcesine where there are a number of restaurants, shops ice cream parlour opposite and great walks. Whilst in Malcesine you must visit Limone, Malcesine Castle, Mount Boldo and Bolzano and Renon. Overall a brilliantly 7 nights and if we are back to Malcesine we will be booking the Hotel Vega

I can honestly say this is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in . The hotel staff were very professional,friendly & accommodating . A beautiful hotel on the waterfront and easy walking distance to all amenities. We booked two rooms both with a lake view , the views were amazing . I highly recommend this hotel , also I recommend Taxi Seba Malcesine for all your airport transfers .
