Hotel Val Di Sogno - Adults Only

The staff was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful in arranging dinner and wine tours. Our view was spectacular and the room well furnished with a stunning view! The location was a pretty walk to Malcesine along the lake. The breakfast had many fresh options including the choice to squeeze your own juice or have an omelette or eggs prepared. We also enjoyed dinner with a view of the lake and the food was delicious! We would happily return!

Amazing stay. Lovely hotel. Amazing staff. Quiet and peaceful. Ideal for couples. Breakfast really good. Dinner and the setting for dinner have to be experienced. Right on lake Garda with amazing view. What a view. Rooms are very well equipped. Bar and dining staff are so helpful as are the team at reception. About 1hour taxi drive from airport. Hotel arranged a taxi for us. There are buses but 3 buses needed from airport to hotel. Once at the hotel, Malcesine is a 20 min walk away from the hotel on a lovely beach walk With restaurants along the way. A boat is available to take you across the lake for €10 euro return to Lemone which is a lovely visit too. A supermarket is a short walk from the hotel. Buses are available from a short distance from the hotel to other towns and villages along the lake. A really good spot to rest, relax and enjoy all the lake has to offer.

This is without doubt the best hotel we have stayed at. Our room was utterly beautiful with a lounge, bedroom & two bathrooms. It also had a huge glassed in balcony overlooking the bay which was surrounded by mountains & full of little boats. Apart from the lovely pool area there was also a most beautiful garden, full of trees, shrubs and flowers with sunbeds dotted about throughout and a gate leading to the lake. Being a smallish hotel (only 30 rooms) it was very easy to get to know the staff, all of whom were superb. The reception staff were so friendly and efficient and the restaurant staff, particularly, Antonio and Octavian were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. I had a stomach upset for a couple of days and they all asked if there was anything they could do or did I need medicine or a doctor. We ate in the restaurant several times and the food was excellent. It is a good 20-25 minutes walk into the centre of Malcesine but it is a lovely walk all along the lakeside. If you are even thinking of this hotel do go, you will not regret it.

We have just returned from our first visit to Lake Garda, and a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. Our Splendid room, was just that; clean, modern, with very attractive decor and furnishings. Indeed, the attention to detail in the whole hotel, from the initial welcome at reception, with that amazing view overlooking the lake, to the lounge area, dining room and bar, outside terrace and the beautifully manicured gardens...every view is a photo opportunity! The staff are friendly and very informative, always on hand to help with any queries, or provide advice on the local area, what to see and how best to travel around. At this time of year, the hotel is wonderfully peaceful, which is just what we needed...a perfectly tranquil spot for quiet relaxation. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful, with something for all tastes. Light bite lunches and 'a la carte' dinner options are also available, should you wish to dine at the hotel. We ate in the restaurant on a few occasions and couldn't fault the food or desserts, simply delicious. As are the wines and spirit selection from the bar. Thanks must go to Antonio and Octavian, who made us very welcome and were a joy to chat with after a busy day. In terms of location, it is a good 30 minute stroll into Malcesine Town, along the lakeside path. This is not for you, if you have mobility issues, or would rather be in the centre of the town, but for us, the walk into town was part of the experience. There are a couple of bars en route, a few hotels, and some stunning lakefront properties... and of course, the lake, mountains and every changing skies. Just beautiful. I'm very thankful we found your hotel, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it to anybody choosing to visit Lake Garda. It is an idyllic location and I truly can't wait to return. Thank you all again for your kindness and hospitality.

We stayed here for a week in early September. Following a tour of other parts of Italy, we took the Hydrofoil ferry from Desenzano to Malcesine. Unfortunately, a storm broke during this part of the trip and we ended up getting soaked on leaving the ferry. To make matters worse, we couldn’t get hold of a taxi on at the port side, despite several calls, so ended up calling the hotel to see if they could help. Put simply, the staff were amazing. In particular, Katia was extremely helpful and not only took the time to arrange a taxi to come and collect us, but also reassured us by explaining exactly where to meet the taxi and which direction it would come from. This was above and beyond the service we had hoped for and we were so grateful for Katia’s kind attitude and guidance, which continued at the end of our stay when she advised regards local transport. To add to this, Katia and her colleague Dariya made us feel very welcome when we finally arrived and Sylvie even thought to bring us a hand towel to reception, to help us dry off! I have to say this welcome was overall one of the very best we’ve ever had in any hotel and it quickly became apparent to us that where the hotel comms spoke about wishing to provide customers with a positive experience, this ethos was wholeheartedly put into practice by the staff throughout the whole of our stay. The hotel itself is wonderful - very clean (maids would refresh our room every day), featured all mod cons - a fridge, large screen TV with several British TV channels, an excellent bathroom, a walk in wardrobe and plenty of storage space. Mostly though, we were extremely impressed with the ample-sized balcony and the INCREDIBLE views of Lake Garda…! Words can’t really do justice to the views we had (we understand every room here has the same) and combined with the lovely pool and garden area and the sheer proximity to the lake (just a matter of steps), we really couldn’t have asked for anything better. Breakfast was superb - a huge range of top quality items in the buffet, not to mention the opportunity to request ‘extra’ cooked items such as fried or poached eggs. We’d like to make special mention of Ejuna and her sister who hosted the breakfast area - they were especially helpful and welcoming each morning and cooked the most amazing omelettes…we were impressed with not only how friendly they were but how professional they were in coping with so many people each morning. Every single visit to breakfast was relaxing, very tasty and a lovely way to start the day. As others have stated, Malcesine is only a short walk away - yes with some hills en route, but these aren’t too bad, providing you aren’t too restricted in your mobility. I’d suggest a taxi otherwise. We ate in the hotel on the first night and were again impressed with the service and standard of food. Many, many thanks for an amazing time! This establishment was the perfect choice for relaxation, rejuvenation, and restoration. Everything was top-notch, and the quality of care was some of the best we have experienced. We have no complaints, only high praise. This establishment is just outside the city center of Malcesine and is about a 30-minute walk to the city center by the promenade or a 5-minute drive down. It was the perfect location for easy access to Riva di Garda, Limona, Dolomites, and Verona. Malcesine was our favorite town around Lake Garda. This hotel was luxurious. The pool and garden area were wonderful in every way. If we are ever back in this area, we will stay at your establishment.
