I spent 4 nights at this hotel last week and I couldn't have been happier. I had dreamed of staying at this hotel for years - I used to stay in Val di Sogno but the walk into town is too much for me now. The staff here are so friendly and helpful and my lakefront room was a dream. I hope I am lucky enough to get back here before too long.

This is a beautiful hotel, right on the lake side with wonderful views, book a superior room with lake view & balcony, lovely food, lovely people, parking great (no charge) a lovely pool area, lots of restaurants with a 15 minute walk on the lakeside promenade, Malcesine is a joy, if you have a head for heights do the cable car, truly amazing

We had a perfect stay at Beach Hotel Du Lac, with our 7 month old. While there weren't lots of babies/kids at the hotel, the staff went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. While they were all incredibly friendly, we must give a particular shout out to Vasile and Greta in the restaurant and Michel on reception. The hotel is peacefully situated c.10-15 mins walk away from the centre of town, which is a lovely walk alongside the lake, while also a 5 min walk to a number of other restaurants and bars. You can be swimming in the lake in less than a minute from your room, and we loved making use of the pool as well. Our room was lovely, spacious and modern and with a great balcony/view. The breakfast was great, with lots of different options and in a beautiful setting opposite the lake. Overall, we could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

I first came here when I was 18 and returned in July 2024 with my 11 year old son. This hotel is outstanding. It's been family-run for decades and this is reflected in the presentation/feel of the property - it feels like home. The location is amazing, the staff are fantastic (special mention to the receptionist, Michael, who made are stay very easy when it came to booking and arrangements). The food is wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel in July. The hotel itself is beautiful the location outstanding. The Breakfast was ok although a bit samey. But ok. The room was nice , clean , & the balcony looking over the lake was 10/10. BUT ……. Sadly the hotel in the evenings is soulless. The lights for some reason aren’t switched on so it’s very uninviting. It looks like it’s shut. ! We were hoping to use the hotel on the odd evening to eat there and have a few drinks etc , but even with the Euros on the TV it had absolutely no atmosphere , there were only 7 or 8 other people in there , sitting in the dark. Really awful.! We had food just that one evening , we decided to sit there to watch the football and again it’s very hard to mess up a cheese and ham toastie and a portion of chips. But they did. ! The whole lot went back. I mentioned this to front reception and was told they were sorry. I’m afraid for a 4 star Hotel the restaurant side of things is well below par. Disappointing !

Great location and amazing views. Close to town. Nice jetty with sun-beds. Excellent restaurant with a good choice of food and drink. Great breakfast with fresh omelet’s. Even had a violinist one morning to create the perfect atmosphere. Pool was nice, never too busy. Everything felt relaxed. Minor points were no black out blind/curtain in main bedroom. No lock on bathroom door. Perfect balcony with lake access. Hired a Kayak but unfortunately the SUPs were out of action. Staff were very helpful and made us feel relaxed from the moment we arrived. Would definitely stay again and we don’t say that very often.

We are staying elsewhere in Malcesine, we visited the hotel restaurant this evening and had a very poor dining experience. My lasagne was cold, it was returned and when it came back it was lukewarm in the middle and warm on the outside. What made it worse was that at no point did anyone ask if the food was ok, even after it was returned! I got a lukewarm apology…which was only slightly warmer than the lasagne…So if you like your food cold and poor customer service this is the place for you. Don’t be lured in by the view, there are plenty of other eateries that offer better food and much better customer service in the centre of Malcesine.

We are staying elsewhere in Malcesine and visited the hotel's restaurant this evening. We had a very disappointing experience. My lasagne was cold, it was taken away and brought back much warmer, but only around the outside.. don't most microwaves have rotating trays!? To compound the poor food, at no point did anyone ask if the food was ok, even after it had been brought back! I got a lukewarm apology..it was warmer than the Lasagne. So if you like your lasagne on the cool side and very poor service this is the place for you.

Fabulous Hotel. Situated on the lakefront. Views to die for. We had a Large balcony overlooking the lake. Spotlessly clean. Staff all friendly and helpful without exception. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice including hot dishes. Cannot fault this hotel . Stayed in august 2023 and would not hesitate to book again. Lovely 10 min stroll by the lake to the beautiful town of malchesine. Stayed bed and breakfast but often had a meal in the beautiful open air restaurant overlooking beautiful Lake Garda . EXCEPTIONAL HOLIDAY. Thank you.
