Lake Eland Game Reserve

Restaurant food could be better. My chicken schnitzel felt as if it had been heated in a microwave. Chips good. I also had a side salad which was good. Location very nice - overlooking the reserve. We were in little car which found the ridges on the 4km dirt road very bumpy.

Lake Eland is so amazing, we had to do the trip twice in a period of three months. Yes, it has all the resort attractions - zipline, putt putt, golf driving range, horseriding, etc. The boys and I loved the mountains more than anything. The view are spectacular. The hikes are energising and the suspension bridge is a must do....and repeat. The caves are a bit anticlimactic, but nice to tick off your list. The cabins on the dam are stunning and the animals roaming free are such a treat. I didn't get tired of seeing zebra 🦓. We saw the giraffe once and hoped to see it again, but didn't. I also appreciated how close we were to Oribi Gorge. We hiked down to the waterfall, compared suspension bridge experiences and views. Well worth the repeat visit.

Excellent escape from the buzz of the city. Very tranquil and family friendly. Ideal for family gateway as there are plenty of activities @ Lake Eland and around. There's the wild 5 adventures nearby which also offers many activities and breathtaking views of the gorge. Daily servicing of the rooms was appreciated. There's also a Spa, I thoroughly enjoyed my hot stone massage. More attention is needed in the hygiene of the showers, there was grime on the shower floor tiles which was very disappointing.

It's a peaceful nice place with nature love the log cabins but it fell short there was no coffee station,no twin plugs we had to buy our own and a white man who works there banged our door telling us to check out we felt like we were being chased away

Nous avons été à lake eland uniquement pour une journée afin de profiter des activités. Nous avons pu faire du cheval et de la tyrolienne. C'était tout simplement génial ! Les prix sont abordables pour des activités de plus d'une heure. Pas beaucoup d'attente malgré la période de vacances scolaires. On reviendra c'est sûr !
