I'm trying my best to be fair to this place, but it all boils down to this, I did not enjoy my experience. So, here are the cold hard facts, it is a 3 star hotel located in a convenient spot for us on our way to the Czech Republic, so we stayed there. We chose the family room, which comes with a double bed and two single bunk beds. The room was clean and sufficiently kitted out for the needs of a quick stay over. The bathroom was sufficient for our purpose and had sufficient space to change. The lights in the room were somewhat temperamental, but after fiddling with them for a while, we got them to work. The hotel has limited parking and as we arrived at 21:30 hrs, there was none left so we parked nearby on the street which is free from 20:00 hrs to 08:00 hrs. Here is where the drama started. We were "greeted" by a gentleman at the front desk who possessed a "matter of fact" disposition. He is the stereotypical German with whom I like to work but lacks social skills. He was not rude, but neither was he welcoming. He was not unhelpful, but I did not feel particularly helped. It would appear that if you don't call the hotel to confirm your stay by 18:00 hrs, your room is cancelled. He told us this in a manner that made us feel like we were unaware of the obvious while simultaneously telling us that he did not cancel the room on this occasion. To cut a long story short, after a long day of driving, we did not need to feel as if we were about to be stranded in Magnaburge with nowhere to sleep. To sum this up, it's a stop over spot on our destination, and while it served its purpose, I would not stay here again.
