Radisson Hotel Madison

Avoid booking with Radisson. I booked back in June for a football game in October. Hotel is now closed and was never notified but was charged in full. Still trying to get a refund. I will NEVER stay with Choice Hotel Group again.

We were in town for a function and made our reservation a little late, so couldn't book another hotel we stayed at before. For $175 per night I expected more. Dated, somewhat worn decor gives it a grubby feeling, you can hear EVERY noise next door and in the hallways, the insulation is very poor. Toilets need to be updated to high-rise toilets, it was extremely low. Only saw the front desk person and she handled things OK, but was not over pleasant or personable in any way. Pool and spa felt nice, but the area needs upkeep. Overall a mediocre place to stay, could have been worse, but most likely will book early at a better place.

Hotel staff assured me that they would have a pack n play for my 4month old when I called ahead but none were available upon arrival and no one showed any concern or answered our calls for help. We called ahead at least three times in preparation for the trip and all times we’re reassured that we’d have a safe sleeping option for our son so when we checked in and received the standard “there’s nothing we can do” response we were astonished. As soon as we got to our room, I called the front desk to speak to the manager and received a voicemail. We never got a returned call and after emailing multiple times, finally got a similar lackluster response from a manager a week after our stay. My wife and I were in a panic to find a solution so that our child would be able to sleep safely on our trip and successfully tapped into our network, but the complete lack of concern was what shocked us the most. Even if they didn’t have the equipment, the staff could have helped us remain calm and offer some local solutions. Instead we had to fend for ourselves and to this day I have not heard the voice of the manager (cowardly) nor received an apology for the experience. Clearly the front desk staff who repeatedly informed me that there would be a pack n play available did not have the right information and are providing negligent information that can harm a child’s life. This was our first hotel experience with a newborn and we’ve learned a lot of lessons but most of all, always have a plan B.

This hotel does not offer free breakfast when every other hotel does, which is a deal breaker for me . The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The television and cable was good with alot of options.

1st Room filthy refrigerator full of food went to the front desk. Front desk staff said that there was no cleaning people left so she switched rooms for me that room the air-conditioning was so loud you could barely sleep. The cabinet that the refrigerator was in in the new room was taped together it was rotting out. I was not switching rooms again. Radisson's website advertises that there is a bar and restaurant in this hotel. There is not it is closed. The only thing the restaurant is used for is breakfast in the morning. Radisson has to update their website. It is misleading and lying to the guest! This Hotel needs to be updated Will NOT stay here again!

It is not hotel . No complimentary coffee at the front desc . Horrible humidity inside of rooms. No way to dry out towels , even carpet and linens are wet . No daily service , just one set of complimentary coffee when you checking in . Day number 4 we also received peace of paper saying that “ we can’t provide service as promised , please take new linens and towels at the front desc . Thank you!” Super noisy when stuff is cleaning other rooms ( probably after someone moved out) . Loud speaking between stuff, slamming doors .
