Lagrange Vacances Aspen

AVOID THIS COMPANY! We stayed in Lagrange Vacances, Aspen, LaPlagne, booked via ***********. More than a month after my stay I am still battling to get my refundable security deposit back despite them promising it would be refunded on checkout, no apologies, just pathetic excuses and blaming anyone but themselves. They are ignoring all correspondence now and I have submitted a complaint to ***********, who state that Lagrange have also failed to respond to them. I have contacted the property and Lagrange via their social media channels and email on multiple occasions and every single time I have been ignored. Deposit aside, the accommodation was very dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. The WiFi didn't work at all during our stay. Only one toilet roll for 4 guests. The 'kitchen' was very basic and lacking in equipment, for example there were only 2 knives and 2 pans which made cooking a meal very difficult (there is also no proper oven). Also, there was a very officious inventory listing all the cleaning charges and damages, but there were lots of items missing. There was no cleaning equipment provided to clean the apartment apart from 1 dirty cloth, and the vacuum cleaner was very poor. The reception was also never open and there were a few times we needed to speak to a member of staff but weren't able to. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this with them without leaving bad reviews but they simply don't care. Avoid this accommodation and the Lagrange group.

A very poor stay because of the very bad state of the apartment and a unbelievable poor help from the reception. The apartment was spacious and the view was beautiful, but unfortunately that’s the only positive about this apartment. When we came we complained about the lack of cleaning and the state of the bathroom. Receptionist was friendly and was willing to find another apartment for us, but she never got back to us. We went to the reception in the evening when it had opening hours and every time there was a sign saying they were busy at other places. We met the janitor one evening who told us that the manager wouldn’t prioritize our complaint. The washing machine didn’t work properly either even that we tried to fix it. Kitchen didn’t have any cleaning products at all beside a cleaning towel, that wasn’t so clean. Also bathrooms has no soap on arrival. A good advise for the place would be to hire people to clean the apartments and not let the renters do it.

We have just returned from a weeks ski holiday at Lagrange Vacances - Aspen and found the information included on here so helpful that we wanted to add our thoughts. We travelled as a family of 4 with our 2 children (aged 9 and 6) along with my parents so there were 6 of us in our group. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which we were initially nervous about space wise but found it better than we expected and the sofa beds in the living room comfortable. There was plenty of storage and drying room (for damp ski gear) in the hallway - and we were really pleased to have 2 bathrooms - one with a bath (shower above) and another with a separate shower. We were located on the 7th floor near the lifts which are a little noisy and all the access to the apartments doors are outside, motel style hence the need to wrap up to go to the swimming pool if you are visiting in winter. We thought we may have to wear swim hats (which we took) in the pool but this was not necessary at the time we were travelling. Having read the reviews on here we did take dish cloths, dishwasher tablets and cleaning wipes which all came in handy. We booked with Heidi.com and were not warned that we did not have a 'cleaning package' so we had to make our beds up on arrival and then strip them and clean the apartment before we left. This was not too difficult for us with multiple adults to help organise it but with a 6:00am departure left for a busy evening packing and sorting the night before. The decor is slightly tired but the apartments have a homely feel and we liked that everything wasn't shiny new so that we did not worry about the children damaging anything. The ski in is rather challenging (it is certainly not on piste) but our children managed it well after a couple of days at ski school. It was easier for them with shorter skis than for us as there is not much turning room. It is not well signed but you can find it pretty logically by skiing across the top of the 'Biquet' drag lift (which wasn't running when we were there), keeping high around a tree that looks like you can ski around in a circle. Best to practice without kids before you take them. We booked into Plagne Village ESF ski school which we accessed by getting the lift to floor 8 of the building and then walking uphill about 300-400m or so. It was a warming start to the morning but we felt it was the right decision booking that ski school rather than trying to ski from the building to another area. To ski from the building we found the best way (for us) was to go out of the door by the lifts at reception level, across the car park and road, onto the run Ecartee and down to the Bergerie lift. Again, having booked with Heidi.com our ski voucher was for a company called 'Skiset'. They were great and we were very pleased with our gear but not located in Plagne Village. We had to walk to Plagne Soleil for 8:30 (an early start first day) to get our gear for a 9:30 ski school start on Sunday mo

Très bien accueilli , le propriétaire de l’appartement, très bien, très sympathique, des échanges à plusieurs reprises, via le site de réservation et l’accueil une fois sur place, impeccable, souriante et agréable. Appartement très bien situé proche des commerces. départ des pistes, il y avait juste le parking à traverser. Je recommande

Résidence à fuir ! Les logements sont mal entretenus et sales (taches sur les rideaux et les draps, la vaisselle n’est pas propre…). La piscine et le hammam sont fermés ! La réceptionniste est terriblement désagréable et hautaine, lorsqu’on lui demande un service elle roule des yeux et souffle… Au niveau de l’accessibilité de la résidence, les accès piétons et au parking souterrain ne sont pas déneigés ! Ceci est un résumé des nombreux déconvenues rencontrés…

Appartement sale à l’arrivée, les sols n’ont pas d’été aspirés et la vaisselle sûrement pas lavée et contrôlée depuis bien longtemps. Il a fallu aspirer tout l’appartement de fond en comble avec l’aspirateur fourni par l’accueil… une vaste blague niveau hygiène…
