Not recommended to stay. We found Big 4 is much better on our way back 1. The kitchen is only closed, so you're gonna enjoy your meal with flies and dust 2. The shower runs cold unless no one else is showering with you. It can't supply hot water for even half of the spots in use. 3. There is no real fence around, and someone tried to break into the car in the car park at 2 AM when no one was around 4. Was told free wifi, but not much around in the park site, and no power in the underground area, and no phone reception 5. We found the management has an attitude toward the guests that has been mentioned in other reviews as well.

Lovely and clean campsite with lots of character. Friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the local area. The mine tour was very informative, though a bit long if taking kids to it. The chilling area is a nice space and you can catch some WiFi there

After much drama with our camper and the inability to retrieve it from the clutches of the desert, along with friends we stayed at Riba’s. Fabulous outback mining park with a variety of sites. I made use of the underground rooms. The Manager and his wife were extremely obliging and assisted us to no end. Great rustic spot to stop at. Hopefully will get back there sometime. Very nice campsite with good, clean facilities. Wi-fi in the TV room is very good, which our teen was very glad of! Did a mine tour and the owner (Jason?) has a wealth of knowledge and experience. The little one was a bit disappointed and bored as he thought it'd be a bit more hands-on but there was lots of info imparted, which was great for the adults!

We stayed in the underground camping which was (predictably) uncomfortable 😂 sharp gravel base which poked through sleeping mats, gloomy and noisy underfoot. However, I’m writing this to very highly recommend the evening mine tour. Jason was an excellent speaker, funny and knowledgeable. I went with my three teenage boys who are VERY hard to impress - but Jason you aced it. They are still talking about it a few days later. Don’t stay there without doing the tour - it’s 5*, highly recommend it

What a fantastic caravan park. The powered sites are drive through and covered with shade cloth. Jason, the owner/manager is so friendly and helpful. The amenities are excellent as is the camp kitchen. There are a lot of underground facilities too, including guest rooms and campsites.

We stayed with my boyfriend ( wheelchair user) in this site. We booked a powered campervan for 2 nights. The place was extremelly clean. Shower and toilet, BBQ are with 2 gas stoves and an underground relaxing area with TV and wifi, very handy during the hot weather. We definitely reccomend it. For wheelchair user is challenging. It depends if you can move your body with the hands ( there are 4 stairs to go to the relaxing room) . There are rumps to go to the toilet/ shower but there a little step to go in it. We did it

OMG….What an absolutely unique experience and only 24hrs into it I’m already going to extend my stay from 3nights to 7 nights. I’ve just been on one of Riba’s tag along tours which was absolutely fantastic. So much information and learning to be achieved and Jason is a great guide which is honest, friendly and knows what he is talking about. I have currently booked a drive through powered site which is a fantastic idea. There are many other options and l will be sure to dive into the underground area and throw my swag out for at least a night to get the real experience.

Coober Pedy really is like no other place on earth. Ribas was no different. An old disused mine, it was fantastic to experience. Walking into the underground reception really gave you the real feel of Coober Pedy. The owner was stressed to the max with constant phone calls with people wanting last minute bookings. People think they can get a booking with 1 days notice in peak season. Who are they kidding. The underground tv room was a great experience, the showers (I wouldn’t bother having one) but was a great memory to take home & the sunset from the top of the hill are all highlights from Ribas. I’d definitely recommend staying here for the quiet, outback, real Coober Pedy experience.
