We had a great 4 night stay at Sunrise Beach as our first stop in Maldives! The location is great - it's on the sunrise side of the island and is slightly away (a few minutes walking) from the more developed area. There is a children's playground, among other things like skateboard and some exercise equipments, right next to the hotel. We stayed in the ocean view room on the top floor (no elevator though) and it has an amazing view. The room is clean. AC works great. Great hospitality from all the staff we interacted with. We booked several tours from them and ALL are excellent. Highly recommend the snorkeling tours! The guides took amazing photo and videos for us and we all enjoyed it very much.

The staff refused to resolve the issue with the room (it is impossible to be there due to the ongoing construction). The photo shows a view from the room directly onto the construction site, we were disappointed. It is impossible to sleep during the day, the workers are constantly drilling grooves into the walls with a hammer drill. The rooms are damp, so bedbugs are frequent guests here.

It’s situated at the calm & quiet part of Maafushi. Very basic hotel which offers a little facilities to the visitors. We booked city view room for one night with buffet dinner & breakfast. The room & balcony were large but bathroom was little bit uncomfortable. There is no lift in this hotel & doesn’t provide basic toiletries like toothbrush, paste, comb, sanitary bag, shower gel & lotion. It’s an over priced hotel compared to the facilities they offer. Staffs are cordial but not well trained to handle the visitors from around the world. Buffet breakfast & buffet dinner were served with very basic items. Only delicious item was the grilled fish. View from the balcony is good, but not great. Tour packages are not arranged regularly as they don’t have minimum number of visitors. The construction activities all around the hotel don’t make any visitor to enjoy the stay.

Big apartment with wrong proportions: unnecessary big and empty kitchen and uncomfortable small bathroom and very narrow terrace. Good location, near to the bikini beach, but a quiet neighbourhood. The breakfast was decent. Good value for money.

The staff was not helpful, never smiling or greeting . Specially the guy with curly hairs. We booked speed boat for airport drop off , and he said walk until boat with luggages. Room size was ok, but bed not soft and difficult to sleep, towels old. Food and breakfast not nice. No elevator.Stairs dirty . I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We communicated to the hotel 25 days in advance that we are traveling with a 3 year old kid and yet they gave us a forth floor room and there are no lifts, so they expect us to climb to forth floor all the time with a 3 year old. There is no empathy in the way they communicate us especially the lady at the reception. So cold. Worst hotel experience..the floors are sticky even after they are done mopping..food served has no taste.. please do not book breakfast with them.

The hotel is 5 floor but didn't have elevator, though the staffs could help carrying luggage. The hotel locates on the opposite side of Kaani/Arena with sunrise views. Comparing to hotels on bikini beach it's cheaper here. If you book the sea view room you could see the sunrise from the balcony - which is stunning. Facilities in the hotel was a bit old but in line with its price. Saw some comments saying bed and pillows were hard, but to us it's fine. Had good sleeps on both nights. There was also a kettle in room so you could make tea of coffee, or for instant noodles. Shower is fine with stable hot water supply, face/hand towel was not provided and the bath towels seem a bit too old so we used our own compressed towels (how lucky we brought some). If you could afford the price of Kaani/Arena I would recommend those 2. But for sunrise on Maafushi, this would be your best choice.

I went to Maldives from 2nd march 2022 to 6th march 2022. I stayed at sunrise in Mafushi and the hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. Even staff itself organized activities for me. I went for snorkling and it was the best experience ever. It was like dream comes true. My guide/trainer was Haiday and he was so genuine person and i felt so comfortable to do snorkling with him. He made sure i was safe. I followed his steps and i got confidence to do it without life jacket even. Thankyou for this life time experience. I will visit again and will stay here itself. The location of the hotel is a way off and a 15 minute walk from the jetty port. One has to confirm and re-confirm your arrival at the jetty port so the hotel can arrange a pick up; in our case we have to walk due to miscommunication in the pick up time. The hotel room is basic and not sound proof. TV was not working; aircon remote control was not working properly; and excursion activities are almost non-existent. The buffet breakfast and dinner are basically South Asia cuisine. Service is average.
