We stayed at the Fisherman’s Daughter Bed-and-breakfast for four nights toward the end of May, using Mahone Bay as a base for visiting the South Shore, Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove. Our room (the captain’s quarters, on the first floor) was spacious and comfortable. Our host Cathy was fascinating, friendly, and helpful. And her breakfasts were ample and yummy. We can highly recommend Mahone Bay as a lovely little town to visit, and the Fisherman’s Daughter as a great place to stay.

This BnB was amazing! The room was SO comfortable! Our host Cathy was exceptional! Friendly, fun , attention to detail, and the most amazing breakfasts! We enjoyed the warmth of friendship and plan to return!! Thanks SO much for an amazing few days!!!

From the moment Cathy greeted us, until we sadly had to leave, our visit was like being in the home of an old friend. Cathy shared so much interesting information about the area and items she had in her home. She was so warm and friendly. Our room was lovely and had everything we could need (bed was very comfortable). The breakfast both mornings was delicious. It was a perfect two days and we hated to say goodbye. If you are in the area don’t miss this jewel.

Our stay was excellent! Cathy was an amazing host, friendly and helpful. Her thoughtfulness and hospitality were exceptional. The breakfasts were delicious and the other guests there during our stay were equally as impressed. The location of this B&B is perfect for visiting the shops and restaurants in Mahone Bay and convenient to Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove. This stay truly earned a five star rating!

This is a fabulous B&B in a lovely old historic home with a view. Cathy, the owner is an amazing host. She makes the experience fantastic. Her daily baking (always a treat with breakfast) and homemade savoury breakfasts are delicious. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and have lovely views. Cathy shares her recommendations for sights to see, day trips and will happily help you get additional information. I can't say enough about this lovely B&B. Stay here!

Beautifully restored and decorated older house. Our room had a view of the water, and was very comfortable. The host, Cathy, was warm and very helpful without being overbearing. Her breakfasts were super, and Cathy accommodated special preferences. It was the best place we stayed in our 2-week vacation in the Maritimes. It's an easy drive to Lunenberg, which has great restaurants and shops. And the whole part of the coast is beautiful.

Had a wonderful stay & Cathy is a great hostess, friendly and helpful. The house space and room was clean and her attention to details is noticeable .. she even gives you a little baggie to take the soap home with you :) Breakfast was homemade, a nice variety and filling. Walking distance to everything downtown, yet quiet place to stay and a wonderful view. Open all year round too, so perfect for a cozy winter get away !

We stayed at Fisherman’s Daughter for 3 nights. Cathy, the wonderful innkeeper, was able to extend our stay by one night due to Hurricane Lee. She was so kind during our stay and provided us with fantastic information about what to do and see in the area. Her breakfasts were excellent. Our room was clean and cozy with a great view of the water. Highly recommend this B & B!

We had an excellent 3 night stay in Mahone Bay at the Fisherman’s Daughter. Cathy, a cheery and great hostess gave us a very warm welcome and we felt at home instantly. We occupied 2 rooms. They were spotless, well decorated, comfortable and attention to detail. The breakfast was sumptuous with delicious sweet and savoury bakes by Cathy and non repetitive. We enjoyed the family style concept and had great conversations with other guests during breakfast. Cathy provided us with all the information on great places to dine etc. The Inn is located between the famous churches in Mahone Bay. A beautiful spot across the bay to relax and enjoy the beauty. It is within walking distance to the town. A hidden gem not to be missed.
