Meunna Boutique Luang Prabang

Large rooms in a small boutique hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and were very friendly. Pool is nice but not much room around for lounging unless you have one of the poolside rooms. Booking engines don’t make it clear which are the poolside rooms. About a 10-15 minute walk into town to the main drag but heaps of places to eat etc near the hotel.

Great little hotel set back from a busy street but still quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable, had a great shower with plenty of hot water and the pool was nice to cool off in and have a bit of a swim. Breakfast was included in our stay and was cooked to order always with a bowl of fresh fruit, tea or coffee and fresh juice. All fresh and tasty. Lam and Khan were fantastic hosts so friendly and helpful with lots of knowledge and happy to help arrange trips etc. They arranged for us to hire mopeds and had them delivered so quickly, we were off exploring the town and surrounding area in no time. It’s a 15 minute walk to the night market but if that’s too long the hotel also offer free bicycles to get around on. The town and area is so safe it’s easy to leave them and they won’t get taken. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a midrange place to stay in Luang Prabang

We had a superb stay at Meunna Boutique Hotel. The rooms were lovely and the hotel is well situated near the Khan River and a few blocks from the old town. Manager Czong and his team were particularly helpful. Czong was continually attentive to guest needs.

We stayed in the top floor with a bath for the first 3 days then moved to the lower floor pool access room for 2 days as we extended our stay. Both rooms have different reviews. To begin with I cannot express enough how helpful friendly and professional Koung the manager is, wow he is an absolute gem :) an incredible asset to this hotel. His morning breakfast cooked by him is amazing, the choice is very good my hubby especially liked the Lao sandwich. On an early start one day he made us sandwiches to go, so that we could eat them once we got to Kung Si Waterfall. Koung helped us out with tours and we hired 2 motorbikes from him that were in excellent condition for $10 per day, Koung also organised for my prohibited items not allowed on the train to get to my next hotel in Vang Vieng, they were there we arrived the next day :) The hotel is in a quieter part of town, but still a nice easy walk to the street food market and lots of restaurants close by. The pool was lovely, again spotlessly clean. The hotel and our large rooms were spotless, lovely hot water with good water pressure, nice smelling toiletries, with great WIFI throughout all the hotel areas. However, the rooms just need a few more basic touches as neither rooms have drying clothes racks, wicker baskets would also be a good idea for used towels, as I didn't like just putting them in the bath upstairs or on the shower floor downstairs, hooks are definitely needed for towels as there is no where to hang them. The air con upstairs is better in that it doesn't face the bed, but downstairs its directly opposite the bed so we was unable to use it during the night as our faces got too cold. The bed was a bit too hard but that's just our preference.

Petit établissement situé à 15mn à pieds du marché de nuit. Une dizaine de chambres agencéest sur deux étages autour d'une petite piscine nickel. Les chambres sont parfaitement équipées. Les lits confortables, les salles de bain étincelantes. Tout est propre. Le personnel est aux petits soins et vous aidera à gérer vos réservations de bus, trains, excursions etc. Le petit-déjeuner déjeuner est correct, avec un jus de fruit frais, un peu répétitif pour les longs séjours. Petite déception : nous avons prolongé notre passage d'une nuit et on nous a appliqué un tarif supérieur à nos nuits précédentes en prétextant le passage en haute saison. Pas évident !

Eines der ungezählten kleineren Hotels und Guesthäuser dieser Stadt, gelegen in einer kleinen Seitengasse und gute 20 Minuten zu Fuß zur Walkingstreet bzw. dem Stadtzentrum entfernt. Ich würde es mit "gut" bewerten, wenn dies hier möglich wäre. Der Empfang ist offen zu dieser Gasse, also keine eigentliche Rezeption, und an dieser schattigen Seite stehen auch die 6 kleinen Tische für das Frühstück. Öffentliche Aufenthaltsbereiche gibt es darüber hinaus nicht. Herz und Seele des Hauses ist der stets freundliche, gutgelaunte Manager, der an seinem kleinen Tresen immer ansprechbar ist und sich wirklich sehr kümmert. Fahrräder können ausgeliehen werden oder auch Mopeds zu mieten für 10 Dollar/Tag, ebenso kann man alle möglichen Touren oder Transporte buchen - vielleicht etwas oberhalb der lokalen Preise, aber hier ist alles insgesamt so günstig, daß es ok ist. Die Anlage selber hat 2 Etagen und ist sehr eng um einen kleinen Pool herum gebaut, der den gesamten Innenbereich einnimmt. Sitzt man auf der kleinen Terrasse vor dem Zimmer, ist dieser Pool bzw. badende Gäste keine 50cm entfernt. Die Zimmer sind freundlich gestaltet und sehr geräumig, bieten alles notwendige. Das Bett ist breit und angenehm. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Schrank und Safe, gute Klimaanlage. Auch Wasser bekommt man bereitgestellt. Das Bad ist groß und wirkt vom Standard modern und frisch. Schöne Walk In Dusche. Leider gibt es nicht die kleinste Möglichkeit, etwas abzulegen oder ein Handtuch aufzuhängen - hier könnte man mit minimalem Aufwand deutlich mehr Komfort schaffen. Frühstück kann man von einer kleinen Karte wählen, ein paar Varianten von Eiern/Omeletts, oder Pancakes. Dazu wunderbare Säfte oder Fruitshakes und ein kleiner Obstteller. Insgesamt ist der Standard in Ordnung, aber auch nicht mehr. Auf die hochgegriffene Bezeichnung "Boutique" würde ich nie im Leben kommen, denn es gibt weder Aufenthaltsbereiche noch etwa einen Garten oder Sitzecken. Mobiliar und Ausstattung haben durchaus reichliche Macken, Möbelstücke und Gerätschaften stehen im Durchgang.
