Victorian Mansion Bed and Breakfast Inn

The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clever! Beds comfortable and loved having the breakfast put in the cubby hole for privacy. Favorite was the fireplace and the japanese soaking tub...we stayed in the Egyptian Suite Thank you!

Very nice place, friendly owner and stuff, everything is unique, fresh and clean. if you are looking for one of a kind experience, this will be your place. Owner of Mansion is friendly and professional. We stayed in two different rooms and they are all unique. Will definitely recommend.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding. We stayed for three days and loved every minute of it! We stayed in the Egyptian room. Everything was done so well and authentic! Bed was very comfy! I didn't like the pillow I had so they got me another one that was perfect. Everyone that works there is so nice and welcoming. I highly recommend the Victorian Mansion!

My husband surprised me with the Roman suite back in 2021 for us anniversary. We loved it so much we’ve been going back almost every year booking different rooms. We’ve also stayed at the French suite and the Egyptian suite. Each suite is a totally different experience. The attention to detail is amazing, from the murals, to the furniture, the novelty items, even the music and old DVDs were carefully chosen for the room theme. It’s incredible really to think of the time and effort that was thoughtfully put into each suite. The breakfast tray delivered to our room each morning is such a treat! The quiches, stratas, croissants and muffins all taste homemade. Oh and the luxurious soaking tub in the suite! Service is excellent. Rod and his staff are super helpful and friendly. We’ve brought our friends to weekend with us and now they’re hooked too. We’re already planning on the next trip :) I highly recommend! 5 STARS!

Staying here is quite an experience! Especially if you’re traveling with your special someone. We stayed in the Egyptian suite and felt pampered as hell. They’re also right next door to Bell’s which has a Michelin star. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful and can’t wait to stay here again next time I’m traveling in CA to or from home.

Here is a review I wrote on Trip Advisor in May, 2008, when he had only been open for six months. Today, in June, 2023, we have just returned from what much be our 10th visit in the last 15 years. The review still stands. Only the number of years we have been married has changed to 21. Here is my original review: World of Wonder at the Vick My wife and I selected the Victorian Mansion in Los Alamos, CA, to spend our 6th wedding anniversary, based on a search of unusual B&Bs in the area. We found it to be even more charming and wonderful than what we expected from the online brochure. Under new ownership for the past six months, we were the first "Three day" guests. With six themed rooms, ours was the Egyptian, complete with soundtrack music, a curtained four-poster elevated bed, a "tomb" bath that was hidden behind a golden sarcophagus, a balcony and a stone hot tub. Breakfast was delivered each morning via a dumb-waiter in the wall at a pre-arranged time. Each room (we got a tour as the first guests to arrive) carries its theme to the tiniest detail: music, movie choices (the 50s room features a drive-in movie screen at the foot of the Cadillac bed), hot tub, themed bed and bath. The house was built in 1864 in nearby Nipomo and moved here in 1980. The cost is very reasonable and the host, Rod, extremely friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to return.
