My 2nd visit and relatively local (Plymouth). Wonderful stay and staff were kind and helpful. Reception lady kindly carried my case to my room as the lift was temporarily unavailable. My spa treatment (Hot Stone Massage) was amazing. Laura has very healing hands and I highly recommend booking a treatment with her! Everything was perfect and the location and view so uplifting and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. Breakfast team were courteous and helpful. See you all again soon and Thankyou so much!

My parents 50th anniversary took place here with family and guests also staying. We had a fantastic stay and together with the evening celebrations made this special occasion even more memorable thanks to the staff and location. This is a quirky hotel, unique and in an incredible location. If you’re looking for a polished hotel or a travel lodge there are plenty of these to discover. The only observation I’d have is that the staff at breakfast weren’t as attentive/slow but it didn’t take the gloss off our stay.

Walked from polperro to looe and came across this place which looked lovely. We were only going to stop for a drink but ended up having lunch as the menu was fantastic. It was a hot day, had beautiful views from the balcony and fab food. I had the prawns, smoke salmon and mackerel with salad and rolls and it was the best fish dish I’ve ever had, so fresh and tasty! Husband had bacon and Brie sour bread toastie with chips, he loved it. Will return again one day, 100%

We had a sea view but without a balcony. Nevertheless, the view was magnificent looking east and south. Breakfast and dinner was tasty also with views across the sea. However, everywhere was a bit grubby and sticky on the tables. In general, the whole place needs a facelift of cleaning and painting. Parts of the hotel are not served by a lift. The Spa area also would have benefited from more TLC, as well as making robes available, although the pool and sauna were enjoyable. Sadly, the most disappointing aspect of the hotel was the reception- they didn’t really care about the customer in front of them, whether it was fixing a TV issue, or hotel directions, or getting the final bill correct (!)

Excellent food, just wish we’d skipped lunch as the portions are generous. The burgers are stacked high and the blade of beef was to die for, as were the views. We’ll definitely be back as we are moving a short walk away and a restaurant this good deserves a regular visit!

Went with friends for lunch. Appalling service. The waitress said she had forgotten my friends drink after asking twice and waiting 20 mins. Our plates were left long after we had finished our meal . Was not asked if we required desert or coffee and the sourdough bread and bacon was rock hard in my open sandwich. Customer service was nil. Such a pity for Looe's prime hotel

I booked for the Chinese night with a lovely selection of Chinese, buffet style, food. We started with a sharing platter with prawn balls, spare ribs, bao buns, spring rolls & prawn crackers. It was a delicious platter. The buffet to following was equally lovely, sweet & sour chicken, char sui pork, szechuen beef, to name some of the choice plus noodles and rice. We really enjoyed it. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. I considered the price of £20.95 per person was reasonable for the evening we had. Looking forward to the next theme night, in March, Mexican. Please support these events and have an enjoyable evening.
