We booked two single rooms. The rooms were clean and seemed adequate at first glance. However one of the rooms had no smoke detector and the other had no working air con. We complained to management and we were both upgraded. The bathrooms were very old and uninviting. The outdoor kitchen was dirty.

I was told I was rude from the reception girl because I wasnt happy they had no map of were the the rooms n facilities were There were no signs to know where to go as the reception is across the rd .Just a complete shambles It was budget accommodation the room was only just acceptable but the community showers n kitchen were disgusting the health dept need to shut this down rats poo in the BBQ n the sinks filthy showers were grubby don't bother.

We did the Starlight Cruise. Very entertaining overall with bus commentary to get you in the mood. The boat was at capacity - be sure to take a back pack as anything on the floor could easily find it’s way into the drink. Not a lot to see on the river and river a little low to take full advantage of sunset. Campfire dinner was good - tasty stew and dessert. Riverbank screen show was great as was tea and damper. Young fellow demonstrated life of a stockman - excellent. All in all a good night

0 out of 5 Longreach Outback Adventure is an accomodation and is a part of Albert Park Motor Inn. Don’t not book this place. It’s disgusting. It’s like an asylum seeker accomodation. Toilet and shower block is located at the back. And not too clean. Lots of workers staying. And the receptionist had a bad day. She was not very and accommodating. We got there at 2.30 pm traveling from Emerald. She told us the room was not ready. Instead of apologetic that they did clean lots of room and not enough cleaners, I will be happy to wait. There’s a fee WiFi but she did not give us the password. Never cone to this place. Customer service person should be pleasant.

The tour around the campfire was 125 people! Too many for my liking. The food on this tour was terrible. It is sloppy stew with sloppy mashed potatoes. Apple pie was actually Apple slice from a bakery. The river cruise was a simple one hour cruise and enjoyable enough. I really liked the poetry and the movie was enjoyable. They need to reduce their numbers and improve the food.

Had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Always something happening and such a variety. We travelled as a couple however it was being enjoyed by singles, couples and family’s and it catered for the lot. The staff were friendly and entertaining even with the corny dad jokes, great experience.

I really enjoyed the ride on the Thomson River. The scenery was beautiful as was the sunset. The entertainment and food were very good. My dairy intolerance was taken into account and the staff were very friendly. The only problem I had was that there were not enough cushions provided so I ended up sitting on cold hard seats.

For a room costing appox $179 per night you are in a Donga / container and have to use a communal toilet and bathroom. Dirty conditions. None of this is explained in the ad and there is better value for money at accommodation in town. I strongly suggest considering other options.
