From its location and the comfort of the building's exterior to the staff's service attitude, everything scores top marks! Although the hotel's buffet breakfast doesn't offer a wide variety, the quality is excellent, and it was a very comfortable dining experience, with the waitstaff being very attentive! Additionally, the service received at the hotel's main entrance and the exceptional care taken by the staff in handling our heavy luggage during checkout, ensuring it was transported downstairs to the taxi, was commendable. These experiences definitely make us want to return!

The room is really small. But either than that it is absolutely amazing. It is quiet, clean, both ac cold and hot air works. I have a good sleep in the hotel. Just a message, the TV will automatically on, so it is required to turn of the main TV button on the wall to ensure the TV is off.
*No water and kettle will be provided. While there is two huge coffee machines at the hotel entrance, where you can get paper cups, all kinds of teabags and coffee for you to drink in your room. So it is alright if you do not have a kettle*

Room was a bit small, perfect for families traveling of 3. The first room given to us had small flying pests and we requested a different room which was cleaner. Hotel was a bit older and the shower was slow to drain. The hotel had no cool air as the weather outside was about 50F so it was pretty warm, we had to open the windows to let the cool air come in, but was very noisy from the traffic with open windows. Coming from LA we prefer the room temp to be around 65F and it was about 74F which was too warm for us. Breakfast was good, overall a good trip.

Very Good
GGuest UserBe careful of being unknowingly charged with a ‘discussionary charge of tips’ (supposed to be A Conpulsory charge of tips, don’t be fool by the name, it is non-discussionary) AFTER CHECKING OUT of the hotel. I was being charged with a discussionary charge of the tips on the credit card automatically without being informed upfront after I checked out and left the hotel.
When I checked out, i was informed at the counter that they were closing their account for previous day and they would help me check out my room and email me the invoice of my stay after they finished closing account. As a result, I innocently left the hotel since I thought a 5-star hotel would not have anything gone wrong. However, I was totally wrong until I saw extra charges on my credit card while not receiving any so called invoice from the hotel at all. I then reached out to Trip.com to request for the invoice that they have promised to send to me and it was then I was informed that the extra charges were from a discussionary charge of tips. I wasn’t happy about the way this was done hence I requested for a refund for this since it clearly stated this is a DISCUSSIONARY fee, not a compulsory fee. However, I was informed that this is a Non-refundable fee and my request was denied.
Out of so many hotels I have stayed, it is unbelievable that in a 5-Star hotel, I was forced to pay something that wasn’t even being informed upfront. In addition, with the fee name suggested, it is a discussionary charge of tips NOT a compulsory charge of tips, the hotel has forced the customers to pay it as COMPULSORY CHARGE OF TIPS.
In addition, the hotel services were very inefficient and lot of rooms for improve. We ordered for an in-room meal and we were told that it would take about half an hour to deliver. Hence we waited, and until an hour later, there was no update on our meal and we had to make a call again to check for the progress of our meal. It was then we knew there was a delay in the meal. By the time we done with our meal, we made the call again to request for someone to collect the plates, we literally waited for more than an hour and had to call twice before someone came to pick up the plates.
This shouldn’t have been the service received in a 5-star hotel and the worst of all, the hotel should have more transparency in their charges and should have informed the customers on the charges upfront before the actual charging. When we signed for the amount paid for the meal, there were no statement on the discussionary charge of tips at all, and we didn’t expect there would be as we were not even informed.
It is not that we are unwilling to give the tips and we did give the tips during the stay. However, it made us very uncomfortable that we weren’t informed anything upfront and it was charged to my credit card AFTER we CHECKED OUT of THE HOTEL. It made us feeling very unsafe to provide the credit card to the hotel as they can charge whatever charges they want after checking out the hotel. In addition, it is a discussionary charge, isn’t it should be discussed before I was being charged? If not it should be called a a compulsory charge of tips.
AAndy NooGreat location close to Kings cross /St pancreas Station and not far from attractions, its 2 hotels in 1 that is predominantly used as a transit hotel for overseas tourist on day trips. The hotel is clean, and you need a room key card for the lift to move and also to get to the corridors of your room so security is good.
Downsides are that outside noise enters easily due to the old metal windows and rooms a very warm, it can be noisy throughout the night as people arrive and leave at all times. We had a room with an interconnecting door that the people in the other room tried to open at 1.30 am when they first arrived , they were also incredibly noisey shouting once awake which was at 5am due to sightseeing trips with the noise coming through the doors really easily, so it disrupted our stay . The breakfast was very good with a good selection of full English and continental foods, which set you up for the day ahead. Would we use this hotel again ....possibly
IIanOur normal IHG Hotel was nearly fully booked therefore the price was prohibitive. We therefore took the opportunity to try for the first time the Sutton Hotel.
All the staff that we met either on the reception or restaurant were friendly, helpful and professional. The Hotel has full amenities including swimming pool, and although we did not use any, except the restaurant, everything looked excellent. Our queen’s standard room was ok but there were a few marks and stains on the carpet, plastic cups in the bathroom, no box of tissues and few plug sockets. All these things are noticed in comparison to our normal hotel at Epsom Downs. It is however true to say that this Hotel had a very good restaurant on sight which Epsom does not. Therefore there is no doubt we will certainly stay here again in the future.
GGuest UserFor this large property, the rooms are too small. It gets you a feel of being in an London Underground train - tight. The bathroom and shower area were small. The bed was shaky. One of the lower standard of Hilton I have stayed.
Location wise, it was relatively close to the tube and bus stop, but still relatively far from the city center.
大大食仔The location is good. The westfield shopping is nearby. There is bus stop just in front of hotel entrance. The two stations are within 5 minutes walking distance. Overall, the hotel is clean and tidy. The size of room is acceptable . There are supermarket, Macdonald, KFC, Starbucks, Subways nearby.
KKelsieit was quite a grand hotel with many rooms on each floor. we were pleasantly surprised by the huge room too, after staying in 3 other hotels that were abt half the size of this room. there was a fridge too, which was a bonus! the coolest was the heating towel rack to keep the towels warm and also to dry them quickly. price was reasonable too at abt 270SGD per night. location was excellent- just 1 min walk from the exit of Gloucester Road Station on the piccadilly line. there is a 24h tesco opposite the stn and a waitrose just beside. there is a stretch of food chains along the road too. you can walk to South Kensington Stn, which will have other food options (like Philippe Conticini that sells the XXL croissant!). overall, it was a very comfortable stay :-)
GGuest UserStayed here a night before a departure from Heathrow T5. The location is excellent, easy to get to by road from the M25 and plenty of parking. The hotel on the outside looked a somewhat run down affair but internally, although it was a little bit tired in places, was certainly clean and comfortable. A good choice of food in the restaurant, served up fresh to order and a nice size bar area to relax in was a bonus. Breakfast was good value and set us up well for our travels. Access to T5 is by the automatic pod service (cost £8.00) which is accessible from a collection point a few minutes walk (flat ie no steps or lifts) from the hotel, this is a 10min, extremely convenient ride straight to T5.
LLozzzzLocation perfect, service good, need to preauthorise a £50 surcharge when you check in incase they need to charge you for damages, but you don’t get that back until up to 14 days after you check out which is annoying - could be handled a different way.
Bed is the worst part of the place, it’s as hard as a rock, I wouldn’t come back for that reason. Aside that, value is okay.
AAnonymous UserThe location is quite convenient. The room for 3 people (2 beds) is okay, not too small, and not too dirty. Shower room is a bit small but clean. There is a kitchen, microwave and sink. Overall I’m good with this stay.
AAngelI am writing to provide feedback on our recent stay at your hotel. While the location was excellent, we found that the hotel itself was in need of some improvements.
Firstly, I would like to highlight the positive aspect of our stay, which was the great location of the hotel. It was conveniently situated near various attractions and amenities, allowing us to easily explore the area. This was definitely a major advantage during our visit.
However, we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. The rooms appeared to be in need of a deep cleansing, as there were noticeable stains on the carpets and walls. Additionally, the furniture and fixtures seemed worn out and outdated. A fresh coat of paint and new beds would greatly enhance the overall appearance and comfort of the rooms.
Furthermore, we found the lack of a welcoming lobby person to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were not greeted or assisted by any staff members. This lack of hospitality made us feel unwelcome and left a negative impression.
In conclusion, while the location of the hotel was excellent, we believe that improvements are necessary to enhance the overall guest experience. A thorough cleaning, along with updates to the rooms and furniture, would greatly improve the comfort and aesthetics of the hotel. Additionally, having a friendly and welcoming lobby person would contribute to a more positive and enjoyable stay.
P.S. positive side- I truly appreciate the staff at the hotel who made the effort to move us to a more convenient floor. Additionally, it's always a pleasant experience when the breakfast lady is friendly and accommodating.
