Terrible hotel, it is by far the worst hotel I’ve been in across Asia and Europe. The room air-conditioning is not working, not in cooling or heating, not even just fan mode for basic ventilation. When searched on Google it appears to be quite a common issue associated with Travelodge and yet they never have the motion of fixing the issues. The receptionist, Shay, was ridiculously rude when reported the problem. She said it’s an easy fix, but after 10 mins she said she has no time to fix it, when asked if you can know what time she’s going to fix it she went mad and said “fine I’ll do it right away” and spent 10seconds on restarting the unit from the panel. She made up stories about how I didn’t turn the AC on correctly, and refused to further communicate and asked me to escalate to her manager because “I look angry”. I was not angry, I was just tired. Fire alarms in the building would go off at 3am and 9am, waking up my entire family. No apologies or any form of compensations or whatsoever. There is no phone in room (which I expected) or emails with the hotel, only communication channel is through local land line and tourists would be better off to equip with a SIM to be able to call. But there is also poor connection in the room, no reception of mobile data, forcing you to subscribe to their £3.0 per day WiFi plan, which also disconnects occasionally just to keep you up with surprises. I don’t know if this is the cheapest hotel in London to account for this service level. Never again anyways.
