Travelodge London Central Aldgate East

The room was comfortable & clean. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff helpful & pleasant. It’s quite near the tourist area of The Tower of London etc & I was there to visit Tower Hill Memorial of Mercantile losses @ sea are honoured from both World Wars.

The hotel is next to the railway. My first night stay was in a room with a railway view. I was woken up by the trains around 4 am. The staff was nice and moved me to a room on the other side. However, on the fifth (?) day of my stay, I noticed that the tap water was not clean. I showed the photos of the water (attached) and provided the glass of water (in the photo) to the staff in the morning. The same day evening, I asked about the problem and was told to wait for the manager in the morning. Amelia, the manager, was friendly. She said that the water was normal. She drank the water form the tap as a proof that the water was safe. And she provided me a new kettle.
