Stunning chateau with beautiful views and authentic furnishings albeit some quite unusual. We were the only guests during our visit and had a wonderful evening enjoying it to ourselves. Use of the kitchen to prepare evening meals as no dinner service which was great for us. A lovely lady cooked us breakfast the next morning when we came downstairs from our Princess Suite - a real treat. Stefan our host was very personable and check in was easy - great place to stay if your traveling down to Dordogne from Brittany Loved our stay!!!!

What a stunning building, great location and so much to look at. The rooms were stunning, the pool was fab, Stefan and Ali were so accommodating with all our needs. Breakfast was delightful and I will definitely return. Just fantastic from start to finish.

An unplanned overnight stay that completely salvaged a horrific first day of our breakdown ridden drive to Portugal. From an hour away we called Stefan who squeezed us into the last available room in the Chateau and planned our evening (time to swim, shower and arrive at a wonderful local restaurant before final order cut off). This is a wonderful place to stay with lots of open space to do what you wish - play with children / dogs, pétanque, swim in the heated pool, sit and admire the unending view. Breakfast is a buffet with breads, fresh croissants / pain au chocolat, boiled eggs along with cereals and yoghurts in one of two dining rooms with large communal tables. The setting is beautiful. Easy to find when you know how - if the village church (100m away) is on your left you have driven past it. If it’s on your right, look left and find the stone wall, slow down and go past the first closed gate and pull in where the wall becomes conifer hedging. Press the buzzer for the large black iron gates to be opened for you. It’s worth coming down the driveway at night for the enchanting lighting display. This was a one hour diversion for us and totally worth it. Can’t wait to return for a longer weekend break.

Stayed here twice in 2021. Absolutely loved it and cannot fault. The owner, Stefan was extremely helpful and kindly organised dinner booking for us (we were arriving horribly late) in nearby Vouvant (a must visit). We stayed in the Windmill room on each occasion ( loved it) and woke up to stunning view over the countryside. We had access to the breakfast area as well as our own lounge kitchen. The very large lounge in the castle itself was full of the most eclectic and enjoyable art/ nature exhibitions. Julie and the team sorted out a great breakfast for us. Really enjoyed. Endroit enchanteur,hors du temps. Décoration sublime et loufoque. Chambre magnifique. Piscine pour la détente. Chiens adorables. Stéphan d une gentillesse sans commune mesure et que dire du dynamisme et de l accueil de Lucy. On se sent comme chez soi. Adresse à retenir et nous avons l intention d y revenir.Un grand merci pour cette expérience enchanteresse.
