Apartaments Els Llorers

Stayed here for a week , lovely place cheap and cheerful with good cleaning service and clean rooms on arrival , had an amazing time from start to finish , decor abit dated but you can see past this . Good facilities .. basketball/football court, swimming pools ,pool table in bar / restaurant and entertainment at night . Will return again lovely area with free hotel shuttle beach 10 min walk, same as town. Plenty to do here

We had 2 sea view apartments for a week at the end of the season and we had an amazing time. The rooms are basic but has everything you need. A lovely welcome pack with everything you need to do the washing up. The free bus in to and from town was a lovely touch which my disabled father used. Staff lovely and friendly. Asked for a new towel as there was an incident with soom rain and they offered to come and clean the room for us. Towels and toilet rolls changed every 3 days. Staff always tidying up even after they had cleaned round the pool we saw them come back as another leaf fell off a tree so they picked that up aswell. We can't wait to come back for longer next time.

Apartment was spacious and clean. Hotel staff were fantastic, really helpful. The hotel has a free taxi that runs down to the beach / supermarket every hour. Please note, they require a €50 deposit on arrival but had no problems getting it back at checkout. The restaurant was not the best but offered entertainment for the kids on some of the evenings. Plenty of restaurants in the town so we spent most of our time eating out. We went at the end of the season so the weather was hit and miss but the pools were great for the kids. They have a little swing park aswell for younger kids.

Fantastic complex with facilities that enabled adults to relax and kids to have great fun and build confidence. Good selection of entertainment provided each night in bar, good basic food, very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return with young children. Only critique would be it would be great to have side lights in the bedrooms and sitting room as the lights are very harsh.

Excellent budget hotel. Hotel and surrounding facilities are clean and tidy. We stayed self-catering (an oven would be beneficial, but still had all other amenities needed). Rooms are basic. But we had excellent air-con, comfy beds and bedding and towels were replenished on the 3rd day. Hotel staff are very nice and polite. The swimming pool and splash pool/slide are fantastic, you have to walk (a very short walk!) to the other slide/splash pool. We never took the shuttle as the walk into town is very easy and quick, we had 2 children, and it took at most 15 mins. The small mini market near hotel, I would avoid, lady is very rude and over priced, there is a much bigger supermarket 10mins away. Food and drink at pool bar/restaurant were very reasonably priced, kids meals good value. We managed to get sun loungers each day, as the life guard is very good at removing towels that have been reserved. Entertainment each night, except Monday. We would not return to LLORET De mar, BUT this is not due to the hotel. The hotel was excellent value for money. Thank you to all the staff.

Just returned so positives first!. The facilities are brilliant for kids - good clean splash pool. Drinks and food are priced at a reasonable cost and is very nice (pizza and nuggets were a big hit with my 6 year old) and its close to a little shop that sold a lot of English products. We walked to the beach most nights - slightly uphill on the way home but my 6 year old did it with ease and no moaning and only took approx 15 minutes but you can get a bus there and back from the resort. Rooms are basic but clean and spacious. Pool area is all AstroTurf which is good for little ones and lowers the risks of falls with wet feet etc . Staff are friendly and helpful. Now for the negatives - Life guard was useless, stood around whilst people argued about sun loungers despite him being the one to take the towels off the loungers because the people hadn't come down to the loungers by 11.30am. Also glasses are allowed by the pool and whilst we were there a group broke a glass right next to the kids pool. Again life guard did nothing apart from get a brush and hand it to the group who attempted to pick tiny shards of glass out of the AstroTurf whilst little ones ran around bare footed. Also the noise of the entertainment was deafening (also stated started at 8.30pm but never actually started before 9.30pm). My daughter hated how loud it was as it hurt her ears so was unable to sit and watch - also when we were in our apartment the entertainment noise was that loud it shook the doors. Our apartment over looked the pool but the balcony was small with a huge air conditioning unit on the inside which meant if you had the aircon on in the apartment no one could sit on the balcony as it was blowing red hot air onto us. we also had a room that was by the car park and lift so was VERY VERY noisy. Got woken up at 2.20am every morning by the bin men collecting the bins and also everyone in our block had to walk past our room to get to their apartments and there is a lot of inconsiderate people around (cars playing music @ 1.30am, letting kids play football outside our room @ 2.00am, coming back @ 3.45am shouting a swearing) Probably wont be staying here again because of this.
