St. Hilary Guest House

I have just read a negative review (the one under mine) and the first thing I did was check her review history and low and behold - she's a negative reviewer. She writes negative reviews about caravans, hotels & guest houses. IGNORE HER! We have just finished our stay in this BEAUTIFUL guest house and I can honestly say that we have never been treated better. The owner, Jamie was absolutely lovely with a stunning personality and could not do enough for us. My husband has a disability and Jamie accommodated all of his needs. The breakfast was beautifuly presented, piping hot and the continental option was perfect and catered to a range of dietary requirements. I have juat seen that the adults only policy has now been discarded and families are welcome and listening to Jamie's plan for the imminent future, I cannot wait to take my children with us next time. Thank you again for a beautiful stay! Five stars all the way Xx

Very Nice room, was clean and cosy, the kettle tray with biscuits and chocolate and a wide variety of teas and coffee's was a lovely touch. Excellent Breakfast with a good variety of options and always cooked to perfection. David and Tricia were so friendly and the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely stay there again.🙂

My wife and I stayed at the St Hilary for 3 nights for a quick break in Llandudno.. We chose the St Hilary and we were both so pleased that we did.. Right from the start we felt assured as Trisha welcomed us on arrival and explained what we needed to know about the guest house. The whole building is warm and welcoming with a great homely feel and our bedroom was spotlessly clean with a lovely comfy bed and beautiful shower and bathroom.. Breakfast was excellent, and well organised with Dave doing his part with great poached eggs which we loved.. With nothing to much trouble for our hosts the whole experience was so good on every point and Trisha and Dave made us feel so comfortable and welcome that we cant wait to return in the near future.. Top class and the way all guest houses should be run if they want to be successful ..

Tried to stay at the St Hilary in Llandudno.. Phoned twice ,left messages ,emailed ,no reply whatsoever. This may be an amazing place to stay but I won’t be staying there because they are not in contacting guests who who want to have a bed and breakfast experience at their hotel .I have booked two rooms for a week elsewhere !

Nice twin room with all what you could expect of a guest house,, Warm welcome when we arrived. All though situated a 5/10 minute walk to centre of Llandudno it was in a lovely quiet area. Good breakfast every morning too. There was also free parking outside the Hilary on the road

Little gem of Llandudno this is. A warm welcome and attention to the things we love when arriving here at St Hilary. David was a great host and clearly they have cleanliness, security and facilities all covered here. We stayed in the first floor king superior sea view (Room 5) and it was nice to sit and enjoy the views (bonus scope to do so!). Room was well stocked with variety of hot drinks options. Bed was very comfortable and first night of two, had an excellent sleep. Second night, read on for room tip! Breakfast was a full array and kept us going the whole day. Nice choice for all. We opted for the full breakfast. Smoked Salmon looked great on others plates. Very cute honesty bar was available, other treats, and although we didn’t need them this trip, it’s one of those little options we appreciate. Tricia gave some great advice on a little walking route we needed to try while here, as we had done the Orme before and it’s nice to see things from another angle. Parking on street was plentiful so as expected, nothing too stressful there. The only donwside (not the owners or the fault of): Second night we were here, guests were apparent in second floor above us, I imagine the sea view king. Must have done about 20,000 steps around the room in 2 hours and were heavy footed. Floors a little creaky. This is not a criticism of the place itself, but if you are a light sleeper, the takeaway room tip is go second floor. First floor is a riskier option. Structure of the building and other guests won’t change but you can change your position. I’d revisit a different floor for this reason. It would be wrong to not revisit on this basis. We loved our few days here and will return.
