Craigside Manor

I loved my stay in Craigside Manor. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I got checked in early into a lovely room with views of Little Orme down to the sea. Room 17 had everything I needed and is equipped with shower and bath. It has a fresh, contemporary feel. There is a sofa/bed too, perfect for looking at the views. I didn't use the TV during my stay. The housekeeping team are great and the hotel is very clean. The hotel is located for a nice walk down into Llandudno and up onto Little Orme. There is plenty of parking. WiFi drops in and out. I used the restaurant throughout my stay, and I am grateful to the team for making me feel welcome. The pub food menu fresh and tasty - get the ale pie. The outdoor areas are lovely, and you get great views of the sunsets in the bay. Thank you to the barman for making my "off menu" cocktail and to Laura for helping with the till ! I'm especially grateful to Jay, Gary and Shaun for helping me feel comfortable and relaxed during my stay.

We stay in Llandudno all the time and Craigside manor is the best sleep we have had fantastic comfy beds. 5 star service from all the staff especially the very welcoming Alex serving in the restaurant we really could falt anything

This is our second visit to The Craigside Manor since it reopened and very impressed once again with the service from Tara she's awesome! Went with the set menu which we all enjoyed as such great value and love the choice of JW Lees ale's so I highly recommend

We stayed overnight in one of the Little Orme view rooms. Lovely spacious room with fabulous air con and great views. Beautiful terrace for drinks in the sun Staff were excellent and very welcoming, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner and excellent breakfast. Will happily return

As we live locally we don’t stay in the hotel just went to the restaurant for food. Not been since JW Lees has taken over and we were reluctant to go having had poor experiences under previous ownership. However we gambled and visited on 30th June for our anniversary meal with friends. Initial thoughts were how well decorated the place was. We were taken to our reserved table quickly and drinks order soon after. We were served by Mal, such a naturally friendly waitress who made her service feel effortless, a smile, friendly chat and just relaxed demeanour made a great start to the evening. Food ordered and delivered quickly. What can we say about the food? 10/10, a party of 5 people we had a range of everything and not one thing could be faulted. Starters, mains and puds, all excellent. Sadly Mal had finished her shift before we were done with our meal and handed us over to KC, who gave us equally great service…Hope she’s caught up on Squid Game! Seriously I can’t remember a time where the staff were so naturally friendly and in the current climate it makes the difference to a night out. Whatever the training is JW Lees offer, it’s working wonders at the Craigside Manor. Will we go back? For sure, can’t wait!

We have stayed here numerous times over the years. The Craigside was a home from home with wonderful, kind, caring staff. The hotel changed hands earlier in the year after a billed major refurbishment. We stayed in April and it was OK. There were a few minor teething issues, mainly relating to the new tech and we fully expected Craigside would be amazing again when we returned in June. Sadly, this was not the case. Upon arrival we were ignored by numerous staff until Katie asked if we were being dealt with on her way back to the kitchen with dirty dishes. No paperwork had been prepared for our arrival despite having booked direct with them. The refurb has not stretched to the rooms. This didn’t really bother us, but the room rate has increased significantly so may disappoint some people. We experienced TV issues the same as others have reported in their reviews. The room had not been cleaned to the usual standard with evidence of previous occupants apparent. Shower gel and hand soap had always been provided previously. The hand soap was nearly empty when we arrived for our 5 night stay and never replenished despite daily housekeeping and asking.Neither were the 2 tiny shower gels which were left. Luckily I could drive to the Supermarket to buy some. Service in the restaurant was cold. No smiles. Again, ignored by numerous staff and when someone did come over, reluctant to an offer a table even though they weren’t busy until they found out we were staying at the hotel. We had better table service at the local chippy. We observed other diners also having issues. They just wanted you in and out as soon as possible. Breakfast though was a different story. Excellent food and Gary and Leah provided a calm, kind, efficient service with a smile. This is actually a really hard review to write as we’ve loved this placed, but we won’t be returning to Craigside Manor. It was not a good experience.
