Irinna Hotel

Stayed here for 4 weeks and couldn't have been happier, already booked to go back. Yes, it's dated, but it's clean, has a great pool area and the staff are lovely. It's in a fantastic location overlooking the sea and close to local tavernas and the bus stop is almost directly outside the main gates, so easy access to Argostoli. I've stayed in several places in svoronata in the past, but this is my favourite. If you're looking for a decent, budget friendly hotel, you'd find the Irinna hard to beat.

Good value for money and a hotel with a lot of potential if only some money could be spent on repairs. The pool looks lovely, but spoilt by the lack of rungs on all the ladders, making it very hard to get out of the pool. The sunbeds were of hard plastic and were not adjustable, just flat. Our hand basin in the shower room was badly damaged, the shower head had no high support, so could only be hand held. The room door lock was stiff and the maid herself broke the key in the lock. BUT, apart from these niggles , the breakfast was lovely, the cleaner very thorough, with fresh towels daily and reception was lovely, very helpful and cheery. I do hope they can up their game as it is a pity it is run down.

We had a lovely holiday at the Irinna hotel. This included evening meals all beautifully cooked. Lots of slow cooked meats in sauces (pork in lemon and garlic was my favourite). Choices of grilled chicken & fish or a veggie option. And plenty of fresh salad. The pudding was served with watermelon. A combo which was surprisingly good & felt healthy. The pool was clean & well cared for. I particularly liked the trees surrounding one side of it offering natural shade from the hot sun. The restaurant & reception staff were friendly and helpful. They organised a car rental for us which was reasonably priced. Also there is a handy bus stop just outside.

This is very definitely a budget hotel; it is tired and shabby. Our bedroom had been recently painted, but the beds were very hard and just had a sheet & thin pillow. There was a fridge and good air conditioning. The bathroom was in urgent need of upgrade: the taps had no chrome left and there was mould around the bath which had a hand held shower. No plug for the washbasin. Leaking around toilet base. However the room & bathroom had been cleaned & clean towels & sheets were provided during our stay. All the staff were very pleasant, helpful & kind. Problems & requests were sorted quickly. The pool was a good size but again, needed upgrading: mould marks & heavy staining all around the top and the ladders were very wobbly. Breakfast was adequate- plenty of it but very dull. No fresh fruit, very cheap cheese & meat, rock hard boiled eggs. The hotel is very close to the airport. It was quite entertaining watching the planes fly overhead but luckily there are not that many as it’s just an island airport! A good range of restaurants in walking distance. Small beach nearby. I gave this hotel 3 stars because the staff were so nice but it’s not a three star hotel!

Great location ,clean rooms with very good air conditioning.My room was simple but had a wonderful view over the countryside. Breakfast was simple ,continental style and there were plenty of places to sit inside and outside . The stafff were all very friendly ,in particular Niovi Svoronov who works in reception .She couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble . The hotel is close to the airport which means it’s a very short transfer but there are planes coming in to land from time to time . It’s a short walk to Ammes beach which is beautiful and there are several good restaurants close by too . You can catch a bus to other beaches and Lassi and also Argostoli ,which is definitely worth a visit . I had a great,relaxing holiday and would definitely like to stay in this hotel again .

I visited again this year Irinna hotel. I choose it for the last eight years and as always it was a wonderful experience and an unforgettable vacation time. The employees are very kind and ready to help the visitors in everything they need. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the gardens are wonderful. The hotel has two outdoor pools both very clean, one of them also very big. Breakfast is great and included in the room price and there is also great dinner service. I will definately come back next year.
