We took a business group of 50 people for a buffet lunch to the Swan. We were very well looked after, the buffet they prepared for us was excellent, nice sandwiches and freshly cooked pastries. It was great to sit next to the river and enjoy the view. Would definitely support them again.

Stumbled upon this place and will definitely visit again. Went for food and drinks. Food was good and a decent price same for the drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely setting next to the river. Looking forward to popping in for pint next to river on a summer's day!

My friend and I just had a very long lunch today, not been in to eat since the change of ownership. I must say I was very impressed with the food, friendliness and service, nothing too much trouble. The boat mooring is a priority for the owner to update and will be sorted very soon I am assured. Come on and give it a try!

We went to the pub for dinner in a quiet monday night, turned out we had a great evening. The food was lovely, had a steak and dessert, the place looks cozy and the staff was really nice. Definitely will come back with good weather to enjoy the outdoor area by the river!

Came for dinner on a quiet Monday evening after Googling nice places for dinner for a last minute treat. This is a lovely place for food, great service and very friendly staff. Very nice refurbishment by new owners, just what the local area needs! Will be going back with friends soon !

They advertise as a boutique hotel but I would advise to use that term loosely. I booked this hotel for one night as I was working locally. What a mistake! Not cheap at £95.00 and what a disappointment. When I pulled into the car park, it looked very run down and a bit rough. This was confirmed when I stepped inside the pub to check in. I was shown to my room and it felt unkept and very tired. I didn’t want to put my feet on the carpet so walked around the room with my shoes on. The walls are paper thin and you can every conversation of the neighbours and when they turn taps on, flush the toilet etc. I would never go back and can honestly say as a regular traveller, this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for a very long time. I couldn’t wait to get to sleep so I could leave. It’s advertised to have breakfast included but that’s a myth as they just recommend a cafe down the road. I would strongly advise not using this hotel as it’s rough, rooms are tired and it feels unclean.

Christmas 🎄 was made into an amazing day at this wonderful restaurant. The hospitality was excellent as always. The attention to detail was first class and the food sublime. It's a pleasure to visit.

On arrival was abit hesitant to be honest as right near the railway line and car park had a large buzzing generator.
Our fears were unfounded as facilities were excellent.Rooms were at the back , a series of chalets with their own locked security corridor .Motion sensor lights made it easy to see in the dark .
Rooms were modern and very clean .Towels arranged like swans when we arrived making it look very luxurious.Rooms were warm and each room had a small balcony over looking the river . We ate in the swan pub and found the food lovely and at a good price .Akso had complimentary tea , coffee and wine .Plus an extensive information folder in room.
Unfortunately the swan wasn’t providing breakfast but they had links to a local cafe which provided discount fir hotel guests .
There was live music on Sat night but this stopped about midnight so did not disturb us .
Travel into Ely took approx 15 mins .
Would def recommend, staff very polite and accommodating.

We had a very nice overnight stay at The Swan in a comfortable & quiet room overlooking the river. The room was round the back of the pub in a separate block so we were able to go out & come in when we wanted. It was very nicely & thoughtfully furnished and supplied - good beverage choices, wine & water, lovely fluffy towels, lots of hot water & a great shower. It was very warm though, a few degrees cooler would have suited us better but we were able to keep the window open all night which was ok. I was disappointed not to be able to get breakfast there as ********** said we could but we found a nice place 10 mins walk up the road.
