Our family group of 12 (3-70+) enjoyed a great 3 course set lunch on Mother’s Day. Everything was spot on. Quality food, freshly prepared, good service, pleasant surroundings. Couldn’t fault it in any way! Well done everyone at The Anchor!

Lovely Stay. Recommended We had a very enjoyable overnight stay here. Our room was very clean and the bed super king size and very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Although breakfast was advertised as continental which was available we were offer poached eggs and bacon on toast which was cooked perfectly. Overall a very enjoyable stay and will returning there in the future. Many thanks

The Sunday carvery was spot on . Would definitely go again The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Also they all ll had a smile which made me feel welcome . The chocolate brownie for pudding was so scrummy. My friend and I both left with full bellys .

Sunday carvery was awful - not enough food for the table - beef was undercooked - people left waiting for more food to be cooked - veg not cooked, no gravy - will not return - manager was more concerned about making coffee than sorting our issues - waitresses were brilliant and they were apologising for the obvious lack of leadership as they felt embarrassed

I was due to stay at the hotel on 23 June 24 to attend a wake for friends father. Unfortunately my daughter became very ill and was admitted to the Chelsea and Westminster hospital where she stayed for 10 days before being diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I asked the hotel if they would refund me due to exceptional circumstances. The hotel refused to do this saying their 7 day notice period is non negotiable and that they would go out of business if they don't follow it consistently.

She is now at home on a liquid only diet which we have to administer through a tube in her nose 5 times a day so I am unable to travel. I asked the hotel if they would refund me due to exceptional circumstances. The hotel refused to do this saying their 7 day notice period is non negotiable and that they would go out of business if they don't follow it consistently. I will let you make up your own mind on how they have handled this situation with me.

Very well run establishment with all the necessary protocols in place for a safe stay. The evening meal and breakfast are top notch. Free parking on site was also very welcome. The site is ideal for trips to Ely or Cambridge. Friendly staff and great beer.

Well, what can I say, I went to the anchor for Christmas Day lunch. I can honestly say it was one of the best Christmas lunches I ever have had. You know it’s good when your 10 year old eats all of his vegetables. The atmosphere was like sitting at home with your family. Definitely booking for next year. Thank you, The anchor. Brilliant.

Absolutely fantastic experience at the anchor on Christmas Day. Would highly recommend. Great service, great staff, food was lovely and plentiful. Well recommended. Brilliant Christmas Day, very impressed. Will book again this year.
