The hotel is beautiful. The location is excellent and the view superb. The staff was very helpful especially Maria, Nicolas and Morgan. Breakfast was very good with plenty of cappuccino and espresso gratis. Only one complaint- there should be a designated cigar smoking area AWAY from every one else- we simply could not enjoy our little terrace because of the cigar smoke from the terrace next to us. The hotel called a taxi for us and Giovanni was so nice- his van is a bit past its prime but he was wonderful. We highly recommend this beautiful place.

The rooms are a reasonable size, we had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and ocean with a small table and chairs (not very comfortable but ok if you put a cushion on them) so that we enjoyed a drink and snacks. The bed is ok, don’t know about the tv as we never turned it on. The pool is not heated but an ok temperature for a pleasurable swim and cool down after excursions. There is a small minbar and safe The restaurant/breakfast had a good selection and the food was good. The main drawback for us was that they did not provide daily water or replace any of the tea or coffee that might have been used. The was also no milk. We requested some ice which is usually provided free but in this case we were charged 3€ and it was type if ice that melts the hollow ones so it did not last very long. The service was quite slow and sometimes we had to chase a waiter own to order coffee for breakfast. The hotel is about 5 to 10 minute walk to the Main Street downhill but that also means it is a trek uphill on the way back All in all though we had a good stay

We enjoyed our one night stay at Hotel Mea which offered good value and helpful and friendly customer service throughout. Our bright and airy bedroom was super clean with comfortable bed, fridge and hair dryer. A large outdoor private patio overlooking the bay had two chairs and sun loungers. The buffet style breakfast met our needs. The dinner menu was very restrictive with mainly fish options but offered good value. A pre bookable shuttle service from/to the harbour for $10 each way proved very useful .

When googling places to stay from Canada on an island in Sicily you never know what to expect and when we arrived and took our first steps into Hotel Mea to our last steps leaving this outstanding hotel continued to absolutely amaze us with their beautiful stunning room, view of the pool, the sparkling water of the clean pool, the friendly helpful service of the staff with such professionalism. I could go on and on about why I recommend booking this hotel and a trip to Lipari just to stay here but I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking. :) Thank you so very much Hotel Mea and staff, you are all so very amazing.

Really enjoyed our stay here very much indeed. Why? Beautifully designed to get the most out of the view and weather Lovely pool and seating area Good restaurant Very clean Staff were all very friendly and efficient What didn’t I like? Wasn’t mad keen on our balcony. Lovely views, but our room connected to the one next door and so the balconies were separated only by a couple of plants, so not very private. I would definitely return, but ask for a private balcony with the fabulous sea view (not all rooms have this, but those that don’t are surrounded by hedges and plants Also, in May there is a wonderful Jasmine scent throughout the hotel.

A lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were so good, especially the girls on reception. Lovely pool area overlooking the bay, plenty of sun loungers! We had a nice airy room/suite on the top floor with a large balcony with great views across the bay. Our room was always spotless due to the first class job done by the cleaning team. A great hotel.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable and clean. It has lovely views from the rooms and restaurant. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean and tidy. Very grateful for air conditioning as it was so hot when we were there. The pool area is beautiful with a jacuzzi and lovely plants and an infinity edge. It was 10 minutes walk into town but not a great area to walk through really - the other side of Lipari is better. The restaurant was great and it served a really nice breakfast with lots of choice and the evening meal that we had was excellent. The staff were lovely and so helpful, especially the lady who helped us book a ferry boat in a hurry when a storm was forecast! Great experience and would love to come back sometime.

Last minute booking due to cancelled ferry and staff could not have been more helpful. Beautiful hotel and location, lovely food including fabulous breakfast and very comfortable room. Highly recommended for a stay in Lipari.

Lovely pleasant hotel with gorgeous view over the bay. Just a 5-minute walk from the main street with restaurants. Room was modern with Sicilian charm. Wasn't big but the balcony certainly was. I think it has been recently refurbished. Good breakfast though on one day the eggs were cold! Pleasant pool area of a decent size but heavily chlorinated. Again, stunning views. We felt very welcome here.
