West Port Hotel

Love this place. Ethan and Codi are the best!!!!10 out of 10 for food, service and drinks! Atmosphere is friendly and the staff very welcoming. I recommend the Sale De Mare and wagu burger. I’ll definitely be back - probably tomorrow!!!!!!!

I was a little hesitant about booking a table at 6:30 on Mother’s Day knowing it would be busy all day and in some restaurants after a hectic day the service and food level can drop. Sadly I was right in being hesitant, the service was good but the food was below average. Broccoli and Stilton soup had peas in it and tasted exactly of that “peas” couldn’t taste Stilton at all. We questioned it but told it was Broccoli and Stilton. Ordered a steak Medium Rare, it came not even cooked enough to be rare, sent it back to be cooked further, it clearly was microwaved as the edges were now well done and it was brought back to the table a few minutes after it was taken back. I was a chef for a long time so knew it had been microwaved. Pepper sce was bland. Trio of roast meats was missing the pork crackling. Garlic bread and cheese came with no cheese, second drink ordered was wrong. The latter couple of things aren’t a big issue but the more they happened the more frustrating it became. Asked for the bill which was brought to the table then sat for 10 minutes waiting on the card machine, this was at 8pm so not busy, ended up taking the bill to the till. Kids fish and chips, Lamb Kofka were nice. Such a shame as fantastic staff and a beautiful setting to sit in but the food let it down.

Back again at the Westport, had an amazing Christmas meal with my mates, they had everything set up, made it a really festive atmosphere for us. I’d highly recommend people come here, best meal we’ve had in a while. Staff were amazing and just a great day in Linlithgow.

Linlithgow Good location allowing us to walk from the hotel to the Avon valley aqueduct , Linlithgow Palace , the Museum and other interesting places . Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful . Good food plus beer garden . Would happily stay again . Colin and Liz

Linlithgow In The Snow Staff were lovely right from our arrival till we left. Bar has a great atmosphere and a great selection of drink. Breakfast was smashing too - though I was a little too hungover too fully appreciate it 💚💚💚
