Nicest Scandic hotel I’ve been to! Beautiful location, nice bar terrace outside, friendly staff. Room was small & basic but clean +comfy bed. Also good breakfast with an amazing view on the upper floor. Also, we were able to change our breakfast for the day of our arrival, since we could not have it the next day ’cause our ship left so early.

Great location, great service, great rooms, friendly stuff! The beds are really comfortable, really clean rooms and the stuff are awesome! Me and my team highly recommend Scandic Foresta! Just be the way as you are!

Beautiful view. Easy to get to Stockholm city with public transportation. Great service and personnel. Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast with everything you can hope for. Parking garage available. Walking distance to Milles Museum.

We stayed 4 nights in June 2023, choosing a "Superior Room". It's a solid 4 star choice - not outstanding but perfectly satisfactory. The room was large. with an absolutely amazing view of the bridge and the water. The beds were very comfortable. There is no air conditioning so the room got very hot. The shower was good (no bath). The location is good near a bus stop giving easy access around the island or back to Stockholm. Journey to Stockholm Central is only 20 minutes despite requiring a bus and train. Breakfast was about the standard I expected, though a smarter hotel would have had fresh croissants instead of leathery ones. It had the same wonderful view as our room but a lot of noise (at this season at least) from children running around and screaming. Special mention goes to the lifts which were fast and smooth and never made us wait. Facilities were a bit basic. No fridge or safe, tiny wardrobe. Tea and coffee in the room was so-so - a decent range for making instant but, mysteriously, nothing to stir with. The table tennis was excellent with good bats and balls available to use with no fuss. (There were other games I didn't use). Overall a good choice both for Lidingo and as a value offer for seeing Stockholm. Service was attentive. When I pointed out that the bedside lights had stopped working, they got it fixed within the day.

Our recent stay at Scandic Foresta was nothing short of a terrible experience. From the moment we stepped into our room, we were greeted with a stifling heat that made it nearly impossible to sleep. There was no thermostat and the windows open so slightly that the temperature remained a scorching 35 degrees, rendering the room unlivable. The staff did change our room to a cooler one however, the room was not ready for guests and we had to improvise with the sheets. One of the basic expectations we have from a hotel is cleanliness, but even that was sorely lacking during our stay. To our dismay, the room was not cleaned the following day. We were astounded by this oversight, as there was no information provided that we needed to make an active choice to have it cleaned. It felt as though we were staying at an Airbnb rather than a professional hotel. Sleeping in an unbearably hot room and waking up to a dirty environment greatly impacted our overall experience at Scandic Foresta. We had hoped for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, but unfortunately, our expectations were not met. Considering the reputation and price of Scandic Foresta, we were deeply disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and the subpar service we received during our stay. We believe that as guests, we should not have to constantly remind the hotel staff of basic needs such as a clean room and a comfortable temperature. It is our sincere hope that Scandic Foresta takes our feedback seriously and improves the quality of their services. We urge them to pay closer attention to the needs and expectations of their guests, ensuring that future visitors have a more pleasant and hassle-free experience. Based on our stay, we cannot recommend Scandic Foresta. It failed to meet even the most basic standards of a hotel, and we left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied

Do you wanna experience the '80s again? Welcome to Scandic Foresta! Walking in to the reception at this hotel gives you the feeling of walking into a neighborhood pub at 2 am (minus the vegas machines). Rooms are soaked in a smell of cigarette smoked carpets mixed with a light smell of beer. Cutlery and plates at breakfast were not washed properly and there were food residues (had to change plates and cutlery several times to be able to find something clean). The sink was cracked in the bathroom, lots of not so well repaired holes in the walls. Worn down and outdated furniture. The daytime staff are nice but the night staff are unhelpful and completely lack commitment and service mind. Asked for a refill of coffee capsules, but it didn't come. Electric car chargers were completely missing - even though you have about 30 garage parking lots!? This is 2023 when half of all cars sold are fully electric. Even the elevator buttons don't work properly, you have to press very hard for them to react and the card reader doesn't always work in the elevators. Overall, you get the impression of a ******* hotel frozen in time from the 80s. The location is nice, but this hotel is in desperate need of a total renovation overhaul.
