We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

The hotel upgraded our room, provided us with an extra bed, allowed us late check-out and provided smiling/prompt service. Overall a very good experience.

Great hotel, large room (was upgraded for free to Suite), clean. Marshal at reception was friendly and attentive. Large variety at breakfast, although the western options are still slightly limited. Would be nice to have greek yoghurt and more cereal choices. Chinese options are great. Joy (waitress at breakfast) was very good and deserves a mention!

I finally said, if it doesn't work, please give me an extra bed in the double room, so that I can sleep comfortably. It turned out that I was asked to add money myself, which was simply ridiculous. Finally, we were told to call the manager to apply and asked us to wait in the lobby for a while. Finally, after waiting for an hour, we were told that we could add an extra bed for free. 2. Room facilities are relatively old. It is no different from all hotels with place name + hotel + VIP building. 3. The breakfast was terrible, totally sorry for the quality of the hotel.

Diffuse oxygen supply: This is really a very important system. After all, Lhasa is still at a very high altitude, and rest at night is very important. With this oxygen supply system, you can really sleep well at night, and their bedroom shading effect is very good. Once the curtains are drawn and the lights are turned off, it is pitch dark and very quiet. It is really nice to sleep. Daily afternoon tea (only available in the designated afternoon tea area of ​​the hotel): We did not have afternoon tea due to time constraints. Welcome fruit: The welcome fruit is not very delicious, especially sour, and it feels like it has been left for a long time. Then they will make the bed for you at night, and they will give you the Tremella soup they prepared when you come. Very considerate, right? It gives you a feeling.

During this trip to Tibet, I stayed in four hotels in total. Snowland Paradise International Hotel is undoubtedly the one with the best value for money. 1. The hotel has a superior geographical location. It is not far from the bus stop for civil aviation. It only takes about ten minutes to walk. The iconic attractions of Lhasa, the Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple, are about one or two kilometers away from the hotel. There are all kinds of small restaurants and convenience stores in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. 2. The hotel has complete oxygen supply facilities. Many hotels can only provide oxygen at night. Moreover, the hotel is very close to the People's Hospital of the Tibet Autonomous Region and Fukang Hospital. Even if there is a sudden physical condition, there is no need to worry. 3. The central air conditioning is powerful. Tibet is very cold at night in winter. The hotel is better to have floor heating to be comfortable. Two of the four hotels I stayed in this time had central air conditioning heating at night. I could only stay in the quilt at night. The air conditioning heating effect of Snowland Paradise International Hotel is very good, and there is no need to worry in the room. 4. The rooftop view is invincible. 5. The staff has a very good service attitude and is very friendly. In summary, the hotel is very good in the most important aspects. Although netizens have reported that the bathroom lighting control is not the most perfect, these minor problems are objective, but the hotel is located in the city center, with excellent hardware and software, and is highly recommended!

And the hotel has a good view of the window. But there are still two problems. One is that air conditioning uses central control, and cannot heat in summer. Although summer cooling is enough for Lhasa locals, it is difficult for foreigners to call the climate warm even in Lhasa in summer. The second is that the location is a bit biased. The hotel is on the easternmost side of Lhasa, not far from a Wanda Mall, a bookstore and Tibet University. The Million Serf Liberation Memorial Hall seems to have been moved to the Tibet Museum. So there are not many attractions around. Although the hotel is not far from the bus, it still needs to take a taxi in the case of time constraints. Overall, this hotel is very cost-effective and is very suitable for the first few days of high anti-reverse.
