Stonecroft Country Inn

We had an incredible stay at Stonecroft. The property was beautiful and so well maintained. It was also so close to everything (no more than a 15 min drive anywhere). The room had nice touches and charm. The best part of our stay, though, was breakfast each morning. It was delicious and it felt like eating at home. The entire trip felt like staying with family. We would highly recommend this experience!!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The room we stayed in was luxurious, the beds were plush and comfortable, and the whirlpool tub was a dream! The grounds are gorgeous, the inn is nestled into a charming wooded neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby tourist areas but still only a short drive from any place you might want to visit. The breakfasts were divine and we felt so cared for by the innkeepers and the chef! We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated in every way. Huge thanks to Jodie & Scott (and your sweet pup Tanner!) for making our vacation so memorable, we are incredibly grateful for the level of care that you put into making our stay as comfortable as possible! I reserved three rooms in the 1807 House on the Stonecroft grounds. Every room was unique, special, welcoming and interesting. The 1807 House has the special ambience and charm of a country inn with a distinct history and style. Our party thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and the innkeepers' hospitality. Jodie and Scott are wonderful hosts, attentive to all details. The breakfasts are excellent, and my wife's vegan preferences were met. In short, everything was great about the Stonecroft! Definitely worthy of a visit if you're in the Mystik area ... only an easy ten minutes from restaurants and attractions there. The inn's location is also very quiet, set back far from a country road.

We have been visiting this beautiful Bed & Breakfast for almost 7 years. Every time we go back, it’s like visiting family! Jodi and Scott are very gracious hosts; and Scott’s breakfasts are delicious and plentiful! The rooms are cozy and the grounds are colorful and peaceful! Looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful place, and a wonderful scenic ride to and from the Inn. The hosts were friendly and accommodating from the very beginning, we even got to check in a little early, for free. My only concerns are for two things which I believe the hosts perhaps 'can' control, rather than things they cannot, like, the age of the Inn itself, and whether or not a spider makes its way into a room: (Yes, a huge spider was on our bathroom ceiling) #1, the bed in our room sagged significantly on my side. I did not mention this to our hosts during our stay...perhaps I should have. However, the sagging bed was visually obvious and apparent. #2, my wife asked upon our arrival if there was a breakfast menu. The answer was a polite, no. Ok, no big deal, breakfast the next day was delicious French toast, hot and filling and we ate what was served. Day two's breakfast included scrambled eggs; we could tell immediately these were liquid eggs poured from a carton and not farm fresh. Since we had been told previously that there was no breakfast menu, we mostly assumed that if you didn't like something that was served, then that's pretty much the end of it. I know fresh eggs, like so many other things right now, are expensive, but, again, at the price point a guest is paying, (my opinion) real eggs should be served; additionally, if scrambled eggs are the only things being served, then please use real eggs. Or tell your guests what you're serving before and what ingredients are being used. So, as previously stated, I think a host can ensure that a bed that sags is replaced before the next guests arrive, and if breakfast choices are limited, prepare everything being served with all natural ingredients.

What a wonderful find near the major seaport of Mystic, CT. Set about 10 minutes from the seaport is a wonderful old bed & breakfast with comforts, antiquities and New England hospitality. We loved the Stonecroft Inn for a meeting of friends between NYC and Boston. Beds, pillows, fireplaces and accommodations were all fantastic. Jody and Scott couldn’t have been more hospitable with a warm fireplace to greet us and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Thank you!!!
