Ibis Styles Chartres

Just stopped at the Ibis Styles Chartres for a drink prior to our evening meal after a long drive from Coquelle, as French wine is well known or supposed to be the best in the world. I was surprised to hear from the barman, we do not have any wine for sale only beer, I believe this is the first time in France I have come across a bar, especially in a Hotel that does not sell beer.

Staff were Friendly - Comfy Bed - Air Con Easy to Operate and Very Quiet - Small Room - Spotlight Lighting not suitable for Room Type 🙁 - Breakfast was very Poor for 11€ we expected Freshly Baked Pastries at least (not mass produced packet type) whole visual appearance Not Good - Large Filled Bowls of Produce instead of Individual Servings (this was obviously due to Cost Cutting not Eco Saving) - No Fruit Yogurts - Variety was very Poor - we would have had nicer breakfast from nearby Aldi - Bare Metal Seating just topped it!! 👎

Ideal stopover on route to our holiday home. The room is comfortable and clean.There are restaurants nearby for evening meals and the breakfast in the hotel a was fine. The best thing about this place is Michaela. She is a credit to the company.

Stayed here before. Was just what I wanted just one night on the way to SW France. No problem with that stay. In fact it was very good. This time we were given f Room 12 in spite of asking for a room at the back , which it wasn’t!. However not worth a complaint - but- no hot water & at the very perimeter of WiFi - like - useless even for FB. We let the hot water run for 15mins it eventually was warm enough. This is not good enough Ibis !!!

We spent one night here on our way back to St. Malo. This hotel was perfectly acceptable for what we needed. They are refurbishing rooms and our room had new carpeting, newly painted walls, new counter top in the bathroom, excellent beds and lovely linens. We appreciated the shower cabin/stall as it's much easier to get in and out of than a high bathtub. There was plenty of room for our luggage, plenty of outlets for phones, etc. and room for our cat's litter box, food and water dish. Our room faced the back of the property and looked our over a green space containing children's playground items and outdoor furniture. It was very quiet. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast, parking and wifi. All of the staff were very welcoming and polite. There's no elevator here, but the staff offered to carry our luggage, which wasn't needed.

Le personnel regroupé dans le hall d'entrée discute allégrement alors qu' un panneau demande aux clients de ranger les plateaux du petit déjeuner dans un chariot. Quand devrons nous faire la vaisselle chez IBIS ? le personnel qui traverse la salle du petit déjeuner avec les seaux et les serpilliéres pose un problème d'hygiéne. les douches munies de réducteur de débit pour des économies illusoires d'eau alors qu'il faut 4 chasses d'eau pour évacuer la cuvette du WC ( chambre 2 )

L accueil tout au long est très sympa, mais, Chambre familiale qui sent l humidité tellement fort que cela empêche de dormir (on n a pas signalé car on est arrivés très tard). Le lendemain au petit déjeuner il manquait de tout : fruits, compote, yaourts, peu de jus, j ai dû réclamer. Bref très déçue de cet ibis "styles" qui plus est. Pas d ascenseur non plus. Pas de sacs poubelles ok pour l environnement, cependant on peut prévoir des sacs carton ou autre ? On dirait que l hôtel économise tout...

Accueil moyen, literie correcte, pas de vaisselle disponible au moment du petit déjeuner et refus de nous servir un verre alors qu'on rentrait à l'hôtel frigorifiés après une balade bien arrosée par la pluie. En bref, le responsable n'avait pas envie de travailler. J'ai déjà dormi dans des Ibis bien plus accueillants.

Localisé près de l’autoroute dans un quartier qui semble en décrépitude cela ne donne pas vraiment envie. L’intérieur est banal, la chambre sans goût particulier pour un ibis style. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet n’avait rien d’exceptionnel et le personnel manquait d’empathie.
