Iberostar Selection Creta Marine

If you are looking for heaven, you will find it in Creta Marine. Sparkling views and sparkling rooms. Modern, up to date facilities, beautifully maintained. And of course, the signature Iberostar fresh aroma greets you at the door. The lights in the room are digital and can be accessed from the bedside. Even the AC! The sheets and pillows are soft. The mattress provided for an excellent night's sleep. Staff and management are super friendly and will try to accommodate your every wish. We were even able to access a special wine for my husband. If you want to lay back and relax, this is the place. A special shout out to manager,Eleni and the staff at the Laconda, where we had our breakfast. A gem of aplace for late risers. The best recommendation i can give, is we'll be back soon. TIP: make your dinner reservations when you book your room.

Lovely reception on arrival. Glass of fizz and a rose! Check in done sitting on a comfy sofa not at the counter. Rooms are a good size and well equipped. Took me a while to get to grips with the control panel for lighting, maid service, air con etc but I got there. If you are young you will be fine! Super comfy bed. Wine in room and mini bar well stocked. The wine was red. I don't like red so I asked for a change, which they accommodated, to rose. If you want to take advantage of the on site restaurants book immediately you check in! We did not and could not secure a booking all week. The main restaurant and buffet is really good though so we were not that bothered. The sea pools are just beautiful. We spent most of our time by the quiet pool next to a sea pool near the little bar. The big pool is good but much busier. First go on a jet ski! Lovely water sports staff both British and Greek. The place is spotless. Beautiful grounds. The little land train is good fun and takes you on various excursions. Some you need to book so check at reception. Staff are all so friendly and helpful. A big asset to a 5 star hotel. No complaints there! We went outside of school holidays so it was very chilled. Go on, treat yourself!!

A really great stay at a great hotel. Fantastic choice of drinks available in picturesque bars, one near the main reception and another overlooking the accessible beach. Food is really good with lots of choice. It is difficult to book into the specialty Greek and fish restaurants as availability seems limited. However, a perfect setting for a relaxing stay. The staff are very helpful including a shout out to Janis and Ellie who went above and beyond to help us during our stay.

Fantastic service from Martha in the lobby bar what a gem nothing is too much trouble. I have stayed in numerous iberostar hotels and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to relax and un wind. I highly recommenced the late breakfast in the Italian and the cocktails were amazing

For a 5 star hotel I was very disappointed, family of 4, no entertainment at all for kids other than 30 minute disco 20:30 till 21:00. No music on around the pool all day, and the staff are so rude and not polite and come across very intimidating. I had a not so good disagreement with one of the reception staff his name is Michalis there was miss communication about checking out and I was at the desk on my own explaining I was sorry and he was talking very loudly saying I was wrong and that’s not how “checkout works” loads of people around us and I felt very embarrassed and intimidated he could have dealt with the situation very differently. Very sad as other than the staff the hotel is lovely and beautiful views.

We had a fantastic two week holiday here during the October half term. Originally we were meant to stay in the sister hotel next door but upon arrival were informed we needed to move next door. That was slightly unsettling but we quickly realised Creta Marine was an upgrade to say the least! I read reviews about hygiene and food poisoning. All I can say from our experience was that it was overwhelmingly positive. Staff took all necessary care when it came to food safety, from what I could see. As for some guests, that’s another story - I saw one chap using the toilet and then entering the restaurant without washing his hands ‍♂️ not sure hotel staff can police that! One thing I would kindly suggest to the hotel is that they do away with the chocolate fountains. If there is one thing to spread food bugs it is that, as kids were mulling around that, and not taking much care. The service was spot on, especially Christos and Georgis in the pool bar. The all inclusive option here was amazing. Branded alcohols with “healthy” measures (). For our food options we found the Locanda restaurant great for late breakfast or lunch. However, we weren’t amazingly impressed with the Locanda in its evening service when you had to book on. Limited menu and quality surprisingly lower than the buffet it offered during the day. The main restaurant was good for evening meals although we were there in the last week when things were winding down for closure for the season so the selection started to get a little limited. Whilst I make some nitpicky comments on the food this doesn’t detract from a wonderful stay and it’s more constructive comments for the hotel to enhance things there further. Would certainly recommend for those simply eating a stay where you do absolutely nothing. Wouldn’t suggest those who like to explore to stay here as it is a little remote and not easy to get to places.
