This place is really basic and quite tired. Dents and broken things and virtually no plug-ins. And did I mention that it is sandwiched between the train station and a bus stop? It’s relatively cheap by Swiss standards, which is to say still pretty expensive. But it has the basics, and the view from the porch is pretty darned spectacular.

The room was super cozy, and I loved our balcony. The staff and food were great! I loved the restaurant and the free breakfast in the morning. I didn't love how bright our room was next to the train station, along with the constant noise from cars and trains passing all night. I loved the staff, but next time I will stay further away from the train station and just visit the restaurant.

Just one of few restaurants open at night and but a good place to have dinner and drinks. They offer wild meat and I got the venison and it takes getting used to it as the taste is something different. I suggest to go for traditional, typical orders to be sure.

Charming guesthouse in a very quiet location. Not the most effusive of hosts, but all was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It is a very quaint location next to a church and a River with a covered bridge. But the church bells do ring every quarter hour through the night. I found this charming and they did not disturb me.

Came here because our Hotel (Oberland) recommended the food here. However, when we came we were immediately turned away. The larger lady with glasses just said one word to us abruptly and walked away without as much of a glance. “Full” she said, without even saying whether we could wait. The tables were maybe 3/4 occupied with nobody else waiting outside. It was very rude and honestly probably one of the reasons this place is not rated very highly. Please do better.

A comfortable hotel with old-fashioned furnishings and creaky floors which I very much like. Right opposite the railway station/coach stop so very convenient. Restaurant also good but very expensive which seems to be the norm for Lauterbrunnen in general. Room overlooked the main square which was very pleasant except when the lorry deliveries started in the morning. Very reasonable price for the area: ~£60pppn

Rooms are right by the train tracks and main road so if you don’t enjoy peace and quiet, you’ll love it here. Nonstop noise, unable to sleep because of it. Rooms have no toilets or showers, have to share with the rest of your floor. Toilets being on one side of the floor and only one shower on the other side of the floor. Absolutely ridiculous Have to pay for parking alongside all the other fees this ‘hotel’ charges. The food is always covered in flies. This is a bar for locals, so again, good luck sleeping or getting any silence at all. Miserable stay, and all other guests seemed miserable as well. Do not stay here. Book a hotel in a town nearby and take the train/bus/bike in. Staff however is friendly.

We spent an excellent few days over new year's at the hotel. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel location could not be better as it is right next the train station and cable car. Very good restaurant with breakfast and great pizzas. We also had a 5 course NYE dinner which was excellent and good value. The staff at the hotel were very friendly with great service too.
