TTamuWe came across a YouTube video that introduced us to Gyeongju, and it totally caught our attention. With all the historic buildings and cool sights, we figured we had to check it out—even if just for one night. Honestly, one night wasn’t enough. We definitely wish we had stayed longer.
We booked a night at Gyeongju Hwangnamkwan Hanok Hotel, and it was such a unique experience. Staying in a traditional hanok felt special—like stepping into a different time. The location was super convenient, and parking was easy, which made things even smoother.
The hotel had hanboks we could try on, which was a fun touch. We kind of fumbled our way through getting dressed since there weren’t any instructions or videos to help, but we made it work and got some great photos around the hotel. It would be awesome if they added a little guide for guests who aren’t familiar with hanbok.
We loved being able to walk to nearby attractions and just soak in the vibe of the city. Gyeongju’s got a lot to offer, and we’re already thinking about coming back for a longer stay.
