We were given the incorrect code. There was a key safe and a keypad which added to the confusion. Fortunately someone was in the hallway and let us in otherwise we would have been stuck because there was no answer on the supplied phone number or on the messaging app.
Having arrived at about 7.30pm with my 11yo daughter we found there was no toilet paper in our room. Again there was no response to my message. There was a small kettle in the room but no cups, a pretty poor selection of tea and coffee sachets and no milk. We had to go out to buy toilet paper, milk and shampoo. Upon our return the new code we had been given did not work. Again, lucky for us, another guest was in the hallway and let us in. We found cups in the kitchen and were finally able to use the toilet. Unfortunately, though, we now discovered that the toilet wouldn't flush and upon trying to flush it started trying to refill and wouldn't stop so the sound of running water was with us all night. There was no plug in the sink, the toilet was not very clean and there was no towel rail, the floor was poorly laid with big gaps and did not look like it had been swept.
There were clean towels, the shower was hot and had good pressure, the room was warm , the TV worked but the setup was very tight and a bit awkward.The wardrobe doors couldn't open fully because of the ceiling light fitting and the bed.
The location is very convenient for the bus up to the university and for the town centre but in it's current state I would not recommend this accommodation. It is a shame because with some minor improvements it could be very good.
